I am more then pleased with this treadmill. I have a very small apartment, but the treadmill folds up so I was able to find a spot for it easily. It was easy to assemble took about 45 minutes, but i did have a 3 year old running around wanting to play with the packing material, so it might be faster for other people. I was worried that the belt might be jerky or hard to move, i shouldn't have been its very smooth. You should note that it is at a permanent incline, you can't take your hands off the handles cause you'll fly off, but the incline provides an excellent workout. I work out in the morning and this treadmill is so quiet i can watch TV without having to turn it up really loud which is great cause my little boy is sleeping in the other room. The price is great to, i highly recommend.

Quiet, compact, yet electronic components don't work well.,

I was searching for a quiet treadmill I could use while my baby slept - this treamill is very quiet. I use it in the same room while my baby sleeps and it doesn't wake him up.
I also was looking for a treadmill that would fit in our apartment. Very compact, doesn't take up much space, perfect for small areas. The treadmill is not for the faint of heart, it gives you an awesome workout. Not really good if you want to run though, you have to hold on to the handles or else you'll fly off. The electronic component that keeps track of your mileage and time spent on the treadmill didn't work when I received the treadmill. The company sent me another one, yet that one only worked for one workout. I'm really bummed about that, but I can only last about 15 min. on the treadmill anyhow, so I just keep track with my watch. Overall if you want a GOOD workout, a quiet machine that doesn't take up much space, but don't care about the electronic component - this is the treamill for you!!!!!

I am very happy with this product!! I am about 220 lbs and was concerned how well it would work. I like that it is on an incline, I have little time to work out- I have a 1 and 2 year old. Even if I can get on a few minutes at a time it get my heart pumping!!

Just What I Was Looking For!,

I have never even heard of a manual treadmill until I actually did research on compact treadmills. I was reluctant to try one because how in the world would I ever be able to use it?! It just seemed so weird to me. No motor? Well, I couldn't have been more wrong. I actually purchased an electric one right before this and returned it because it was HUGE and very heavy when it claimed to be compact!
While this treadmill suits my needs, it definitely is not for everyone. Here are some pros and cons: PROS: 1.Super lightweight, yet sturdy. 2.You can move it easily. 3.If you have limited space, this is perfect for you because it isn't very big at all. But it is a little larger than I expected. 4.It folds up securely with a knob that keeps it in place. 5.It gives you more of a workout than a regular treadmill because it is at a slight incline and you are powering the walking. 6.You work out for LESS time because you're working your muscles more efficiently. 7.For the price, the quality is excellent. 8.There are three incline positions that allow you to customize your workout. Actually, I found that the steepest incline was the easiest for me because on the lower settings, I had to walk leaning forward to get the belt to move. CONS: 1.Not for running. 2.You have to keep both hands on the handlebars while walking. This keeps arm muscles fairly inactive.Mainly good for a lower body workout. 3.Assembly instructions were a little confusing. It might take two people to construct the treadmill. 4.Definitely NOT for serious athletes. This is more for casual walkers and those wishing to control their weight, keep in shape. If you're a diehard athlete, I would skip this machine. 5.Because of the slight incline, you aren't really emulating natural walking in a perfectly upright position. In order to get the belt to move, you sort of have to lean forward just a bit. 6.While I appreciate 3 incline positions, only 1 is useful to me. See #8 above. 7.The small computer doesn't work at all. I am pretty short (5'2") so the length of the running belt works for me, but I can see how a much taller person would run into trouble. Basically, if you want an efficient workout(mainly working legs, calves, abs, hips, and butt--lower body only) and you don't mind not having all the whistles and bells, this might be something that could benefit you. I hope this helped!

When our large, more expensive treadmill finally gave out last summer, it was my intention to purchase another one just like it. However, with the economy being the way that it is, I just could not bring myself to spend a minimum of $700 or more to replace it. Upon reading the reviews for this treadmill, I decided to give it a try. As this is a manual treadmill, I did not have very high expectations. I have now had this treadmill for three months, and I am very, very happy with it. It works beautifully, and takes up so little space, compared to my former treadmill. I love the fact that I can move it around to wherever I wish to exercise. It feels as if my muscles are actually getting a better workout with this manual treadmill than what I had experienced with my former, motorized treadmill. I do sometimes (but not always) choose to place a small board under this treadmill in order to reduce the incline. I would highly recommend this treadmill. It is well-made, and for the price, you really cannot go wrong.

not for running, jogging, or power walking,
This review is from: Cory Everson Manual Treadmill (Sports)
This product was not well designed. The walking surface is at an angle, and it is a manual treadmill. This means that if one tries to walk normally on it, the speed of the belt will rapidly accelerate and within a few seconds you will be running and a few more seconds you will be flying off the back. The only solution is to hold onto the handlebars and thus slow down the belt. While this might be fine for casual walkers, as someone who was hoping to jog I can tell you that this is not working out. In order to effectively jog, one needs to pump ones arms. However, since you need to be holding onto the handle bars at all times, it is impossible to use your arms to run at all and it is as if I am trying to run with my arms rigidly held in front of me.
The display screen is also not well done. It does display distance and time and few other things, but it randomly cycles through the different features and there is only one button. The directions are also quite difficult to follow. They do not even bother to mention all of the parts which need to be installed and after I completed the explained assembly I ended up just guessing at where the remaining parts went. Overall, I would not recommend this treadmill, and I especially would not recommend it to anyone who wants to run, jog or power walk.

It was easy to assemble. Gives a good work out. Feels nice and sturdy. We are overall pleased with it. We are NOT happy about it's inability to show miles and distance. The electronic monitor does not work.

this treadmill is good if you enjoy casual walking only, it's hard to run on it as you have to be holding on to handles at all times during running. the incline is fixed and non adjustable and the electronic device is very low quality and not functional. again, if you plan on using it for walking only, it is a great product, but if running is the intention, try some other product

I am absolutely amazed with this little machine! It was fairly easy to put together after I understood right from left (the logos on the arms should face OUT not in for those of you like me who forget right foot from left).
It runs smoothly once you start to walk and on enough of an incline (which is adjustable) that it gives you a LOT of burn. I keep it unfolded and it almost abuts to a wall since I was fearful of flying out the back (which, no, I haven't done 'yet') This treadmill is not designed to be a 'catch-up' like motorized treadmills, but rather requires that you put your own muscle into both the down and up walking positions. It's also not a running machine though I think some people probably could. I have an eliptical, stepper, slider and ab machine but needed a machine that would address a problem I have with my left hip and some arthritis. I needed a machine that would help with walking period. I had never used a treadmill before and was a skeptic. I've had this one just about a month and use it at least 5 days a week along with yoga and my other machines. I can tell you that it meets muscles my others do not. Amazingly, by adding this to my routine I am somehow losing weight (not in huge amounts but steady) even though I have NOT changed my eating habits at all. Pain that had been a constant agony for the past 10-15 years has dropped to almost none at all. Can I say I LOVE this machine?! She's my baby believe me!!! And yes, by the time I get off I'm ready to plop down!

I just got this treadmill three days ago and finally had a chance to use it today. I was so excited! About twelve minutes into my workout, the computer completely stopped working. I changed the batteries and it worked for about five minutes then pooped out completely, leaving me with the inability to track my distance, calories, etc. Luckily the treadmill, being manual, still works, and it's probably not worth the cost to ship it back when I could by a pedometer instead. Still, I'm quite disappointed that a brand new product didn't work. If I have time, I may take the handlebars apart to see if any of the wires came disconnected. Hopefully I'll still get a good workout on this treadmill, but I guess you can't expect perfection for $129.00.
