A spin-off of the Disney television series That's So Raven, Cory in the House features Raven's younger brother Cory (Kyle Massey) and her father Victor (Rondell Sheridan) ensconced at the White House where Victor is employed as personal chef to the President (John D'Aquino). Ever the business entrepreneur, Cory is consistently hatching new money-making schemes without regard to the decorum his residence at the White House demands. This four-episode compilation begins with "Never the Dwayne Shall Meet" in which former WWE wrestler Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson is scheduled to meet with the President. Cory has great business plans to capitalize on The Rock's visit and secure his sponsorship of Cory's newest fitness invention, but Cory and his friends Newt and Meena bungle their presentation plan and end up preventing the President, his aide Samantha Samuels, Victor, and themselves from even seeing The Rock. Instead, it falls to the President's young daughter Sophie to smooth things over with The Rock in the unlikely setting of a tea party. Raven (Raven Symone) comes for a visit in "That's So in the House" and has big plans to redesign the White House tour guides' uniforms, but gets into trouble when one of her famous visions induces her to tackle the President. As her business partner, it falls to Cory to secure the commission for his sister, no matter what the personal cost. "Air Force One Too Many" finds the Prime Minister of Russia and the President in disagreement about the ownership of Alaska thanks to Cory's impulsiveness. Can Cory, with a little help from Sophie and a game called "Step, Step, Party Step" set things right between the two nations? Star Trek's George Takei guest stars in this episode. Finally, Cory's entrepreneurial dreams, combined with his appetite for sweets, results in quite an explosion in "Just Desserts." An appealing sit-com aimed at the tween set, Cory in the House has a nice blend of humor, absurdity, and good clean fun without the overabundance of attitude found in many tween programs. --Tami Horiuchi

My two year angel loves Corey in the House and this holds his attention. I did not list the shows because the other reviews listed the shows so I did not want to be redundant.

A laugh track with a television show underneath, this spinoff of "That's So Raven" explodes with hoots, howls and hollers about once every eight seconds. But, realistically, it's never really very funny.

As for the four episodes on this DVD, "Never The Dwayne Shall Meet" stars Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson, and Raven-Symoné reprises her role as Cory's sister in "That's So In The House." The other two are "Air Force One Too Many," in which Cory accidentally gives the state of Alaska back to the Russians, and "Just Desserts," in which chaos reigns after Cory and his friends attempt to make pastries for a presidential banquet.

The disc has two short bonus features. The four-minute "Raven in the House" takes you backstage during the filming of the "That's So in the House" with Raven-Symoné. The two-minute "Rock in the House" features... no, not The Rock, but the show's main child stars Kyle Massey, Maiara Walsh and Madison Pettis, who gush about how much fun it was to act with the former wrestler.

As you can probably tell, this DVD just leaves me cold. But still, I guess that for those times when your kids have to watch television, it's better that they be occupied by this harmless, happy yuckfest than whatever they'll run across on cable.
