I started using this product after 2 knee scopes and continued pain and swelling of my knee. I have arthritis and it seems my cartiledge shreds very easy. I am most likely looking at a knee replacement when I hit 50 but needed something to help with the pain until then. My doctor recommended this product and it seems to work well. By no means 100%, but if you want to know how much it does help just stop taking the product after you've been on it awhile and you will notice the difference. I would recommend this product to everyone in a simular situation that I am in.

I TRIED 4 BRANDS FOR MY 2 KNEE SURGERIES. NONE HELPED.WITH COSAMIN DS HOWEVER, MY DAMAGED SHOULDER STOPED SNAPPING. I DECIDED TO USE UP THE COSAMIN DS FOR MY SHOULDER. ALMOST THRU THE BOTTLE MY KNEE DECREASED SENSITIVITY TO BONE BRUISE TYPE PAIN. NOT ALL OF THE PAIN, THAT HAS IMPROVED OVER THE YEARS WITH COSAMIN DS AND THRU TODAY I RARELY EXPERIENCE KNEE PAIN.I CAN STRETCH MY KNEE AND I EVEN CLIMB SAND DUNES ALONG LAKE MICHIGAN AGAIN. THIS HAS TAKEN ABOUT 5 YEARS TO BE ABLE TO DO.I NEED ONLY TAKE 1 SOMETIMES 2 CAPSULES A DAY. 1 BOTTLE GOES A LONG WAY.

When I passed 55 and first felt joint pain in my left thumb, I heard about glucosamine chondroitin from a friend and started to take a brand from a big box store. It worked for awhile, but later on the pill looked different. The formula must have changed and my thumb started to ache again. My husband attended a seminar in which CosaminDS was recommended. I started to take it and the pain disappeared in a few days. Its a terrific product.

My pet Corgi was having trouble getting up it the morning, walking with a severe limp. He was thought to have a chronic shoulder joint problem. CosaminsDs was recommended by our vet,as a product that might help. After a couple weeks, he is running, jumping a playing like a pup again, and has not limped for over a year........CosaminsDs is a Godsend!

I've been taking CosaminDS for about 4 years. I can tell a big difference when I am taking it and when I am not as far as recurring knee pain. I've had two knee surgeries on my left knee and without this I would not still be running.

Cosamine DS is a top notch product recommended to me BY THE prominent SPORTS MEDICINE SURGEON that operates on the local professional athletes. It has improved my arthritic shoulder developed from 20 years of weightlifting. The other thing that I noticed later on was that my elbow, knee, and thumb joints no longer made "cracking" noises.

This product is more than another unproven supplement. The double-blinded study was performed at the University of Illinois. Although it is a bit more expensive that other glucosamine and condroitin brands, I know Cosamine DS provides me the standardized, purified dosage used in the U of I study.

My discomfort was quite mild prior to trying this brand on the advice of a doctor. Within a week, it had all but disappeared. A month later, I have no more discomfort.

One doctor talked about surgeries--but first, I changed my glucosamine and went to this brand, the same brand my dog took. A German Shepherd with hip issues--we thought she'd never live long. She couldn't do the stairs of our 4 story town house. This brand, the dog version--did the trick. She didn't know about placebo affects....she was okay to go up and down, and still does at 13.5 years--5 years later. LOVE this product.

I'm 42, active in alpine skiing and beach volleyball and my knees have been aching, clicking, and being downright painful over the past year or two of these sports' seasons. After seeing a specialist at Duke, I was told there wasn't anything particularly wrong, just age and well-used joints. She indicated that I might try Glucosamin for a month or two to see if I noticed any difference. After 3 months of the "initial dose" of 3 caplets a day, the aches are gone and I just returned from 7 days of skiing without knee pain. I will switch to the "maintenance dose" of one per day now and see if this remains true through the volleyball season too.

I've used this product for over a year. Had severe arthritis pain in my shoulders, particularly my right; (unable to cross my arms or raise right arm over my head). Took 2 twice a day for about 3-4 months before I felt some relief. Dropped down to 3 a day, which I'm still on. Pain free! Don't dare go off my wonder pills. Be patient if having moderate to severe pain. It works! I'm also taking 2 softgel Celadrin by InflameAway, which I started about six months after the CosaminDS.
