5.0 out of 5 stars Romantic, authentic, 100% Latin!!!! A success!!!
Enrique Iglesias is a very talented singer!!!

Although some people think he lives under the shadow of his father's huge success (for you who don't know, his father is Julio Iglesias), the kid overcomes the rumors proving his capability and own talent in this CD. 3.0 out of 5 stars okay, not his best stuff
The production value of the CD is great, but the songs themselves lack melodies that are memorable. You forget the songs as soon as you have heard them.

Enrique Iglesias is a very talented singer!!!

Although some people think he lives under the shadow of his father's huge success (for you who don't know, his father is Julio Iglesias), the kid overcomes the rumors proving his capability and own talent in this CD. It has soft ballads and they are deep truly inspiring love songs. There are notably enchanting songs (fast beat and slow jams) such as: "Nunca te olvidare", "Contigo", "Para de jugar", "Dicen por Ahi" & "Ruleta Rusa" (all 5 and more stars!!!).

In my opinion, Enrique is far more talented than some artists which are being globally promoted and deliver a poor "cross-over" CD, such as Ricky Martin, who's new release, the self titled english-spanish album, was a huge disappointment to fans and people in the music industry.

INSTEAD OF TRYING TO CREATE NEW ARTISTS, WHY DOESN'T THE MUSIC INDUSTRY OPEN IT'S EYES TO THE TALENTS WE ALREADY HAVE???

"QUIQUE", TE DESEO TODA LA SUERTE DEL MUNDO!!!!! LOGRARAS MUCHO EN TU CARRERA!!! VUELA ALTO Y CON PASION!!! SIGUE CANTANDO ASI: CON TODA EL ALMA Y CORAZON!!!!

5.0 out of 5 stars Gorgeous music!, May 4, 2000
This review is from: Cosas Del Amor (Audio CD)
I decided to buy Enrique's Spanish albums after enjoying his English album so much. First of all, I have to say that his Spanish albums are very different from his English one, they contain mostly slow songs, but they're still AWESOME! Wow, listening to his Spanish stuff made me become an even bigger fan!

Cosas Del Amor is just breathtaking! If you love gorgeous ballads, then you should buy this album! Enrique's ballads are what fantasies are made of. I've never heard ballads filled with so much poetry and sung so emotionally. I don't know Spanish, but luckily I was able to find translations of the songs so I know what he's singing about. Even if I had no idea what he was saying, these songs would still touch my heart. But I have to say that becoming an Enrique fan has helped me learn some Spanish, so there's another benefit besides discovering great new music. These songs are so romantic and beautiful. "Nunca Te Olvidare" has only a piano and violins in the background; it's stunning, sad, and beautiful. "Cosas Del Amor" is also gorgeous. "Contigo" makes me think of a beautiful sunset when I listen to it. "Sirena" is so heart-wrenchingly beautiful and maybe my favorite song on the album (but it's hard to say that only 1 song is my favorite since so many of them are amazing). The songs I love the most are "Nunca Te Olvidare", "Cosas Del Amor", "Esperanza", "Contigo", "Sirena", and "Ruleta Rusa". "Ruleta Rusa", the last song on the album, surprised me because it's up-tempo like most of the stuff on his English album, but it still fits on Cosas Del Amor. It's a fun ending to the album.

If you became a fan of Enrique's because of his English album, then I suggest getting some of his Spanish music because it shows a different, but equally amazing, side of him. Like I said, most of his Spanish songs are slow, unlike his mostly up-tempo English CD, but Enrique shows that he is amazing at both fast songs and ballads.

5.0 out of 5 stars Another sexy, racy CD by Enrique!, February 19, 2000
By A Customer
This review is from: Cosas Del Amor (Audio CD)
I now own all of Enrique's CD's from the first (1995). The reason I bought this one is because of Nunca Te Olvidare. I still remember the first time I heard it - driving in my car, I couldn't believe actually starting to cry...it's that beautiful. He is an amazingly soulful songwriter.

My second favorite is Cosas Del Amor. Do yourself a favor and buy a Spanish dictionaary if you don't understand what he's saying...believe me, you WANT to know what he's saying. Sexy, sexy, muy caliente! And that voice - totally unforgettable.

I recently read an interview that Enrique gave regarding this CD and he basically said that this is the one you want to buy and play for the (paraphrasing) "lady in your life, because it's going to make her want to love you alot." I think I would have to agree.

5.0 out of 5 stars Enrique is the best !, February 3, 2002

This review is from: Cosas Del Amor (Audio CD)
I learn Enrique "backwards". "Cosas del Amor" is last CD I purchased / after Enrique, Vivir, Escape/. Once more I am fascinated by his exceptional voice, smooth, tremulous with a very emotional expression I ever heard. In comparison with "Escape" his voice excels much more thanks to quite different sorts of songs - ballads. That's why I very like his Spanish production /also Vivir/. If his talent as a songwriter is added he is really an outstanding artist. I have to appreciate also a co-operation with Rafael Perez-Botija - beatiful!!! songs, very well done!
I like all tracks but my favorite are Cosas del Amor, Esperanza, Sirena,Nunca Te Olvidaré, Ruleta Rusa.
One thing vexes me - an incessant comparison with his dad Julio. Julio is Julio, Enrique is Enrique and his work proves to be great!

5.0 out of 5 stars Enrique at his best, January 7, 2000
This review is from: Cosas Del Amor (Audio CD)
After being a fan of Enrique since the first time I heard "Experiencia Religiosa" (from his very first disc), I was extremely excited when "Cosas" came out. My boyfriend and I listened to it, and I almost cried. Enrique's amazing voice stirs my soul....great music for a romantic night with that special someome. I saw him live during the "Cosas" world tour, and he was incredible.... he's one of those singers who sounds better live than on the disc. Thank you, Enrique, for such amazing music.

4.0 out of 5 stars I wish he was "Desnudo" on the cover!, November 10, 1999
By A Customer
This review is from: Cosas Del Amor (Audio CD)
If I had one night to spend with either Ricky Martin, Charlie Zaa, or Enrique Iglesias, my choice would be Enrique (Desnudo!). His songs are the BOMB! Especially "Esperanza" which conjurs up memories of my time in Paris. My boyfriend Faustino is jealous of him but I don't care. He will never be the bulb that lights up my church. May Enrique live on forever!

5.0 out of 5 stars The One and Only Enrique, January 8, 2003

This review is from: Cosas Del Amor (Audio CD)
I bought Cosas Del Amor because of the video cd that came with Quizas which shows Enrique singing Nunca te Olvidare on it. It is the most beautiful song I have ever heard - I just wish he would release it again so that more people can listen to him at his best. I saw Enrique on British TV about 3 years ago and realised that this was someone very special. Since then I have been lucky enough to see him in concert and he was superb. I have now got all his CDs but Nunca Te Olivdare is my favourite song on any CD. Contigo is great - Cosas del Amor is fantastic - all the tracks on this CD make for great listening - don't just read this - buy it and see for yourself - every song is well worth listening to. All credit for this beautiful music must go directly to Enrique

5.0 out of 5 stars Amor Delux, February 2, 2002
This review is from: Cosas Del Amor (Audio CD)
Enrique Iglesias' 3rd Spanish language album (released in '98), COSAS DEL AMOR (which translates to THINGS OF LOVE) is full love, love, and more love. This album is very romantic and beautifully done. It deals with the blissful feelings of being in love and also the heartbreak of love gone wrong. It all starts with the yearning and haunting "nunca te olvidare" in which Enrique sings about someone that he'll never forget. The dramatic energy of the love drenched "contigo" is awesome. The sweetness of "alguien como tu" soars. It's easy to dissmiss COSAS DEL AMOR as overdone melodrama but Enrique is an exceptional vocalist. You can feel the emotion in his voice with each song. The hit "esperanza" is one of the most emotional songs on here. COSAS DEL AMOR is one of Enrique's best albums. It's love-themed sweetness is perfectly balanced. COSAS DEL AMOR also offers up some attitude with the uptempo finale "ruleta rusa". Enrique is an awesome singer/songwriter, no matter the language. This album proves it yet again.
