I wanted a safe step stool for my mother. This is light, and the extension puts the handle at her wasteline making it easy to grasp.

We've had one of these stools for a few years and it works great for reaching high places while still having the extending hand rail to keep steady. Just bought another one for my elderly mother in law after we learned she was climbing up on a kitchen chair to reach things. It's lightweight, folds and unfolds easily, and the hand rail extends easily as well.

I wanted a stable step stool to replace an old, standard kitchen 2 step stool that did not lock in place. The lock was important to the stability of the stool. This stool fits my needs and would have received 5 stars except the bottom step is too narrow to comfortably stand on.

I previously owned a precursor to this model, I gave it to my daughter with intentions of buying myself a new one. I tried to find a stool exactly like the one I had but ot was no longer available, it had been replaced by this model. I think this product is fantastic, the handle-arm ( for a better description?) can be raised by lifting the small latches on the handles on the side and pull the handle upward, when extended you can lean against the handle and you are more secure without falling off the stool. It is light to carry, easy to open and to extend the handle and is easy to store.

It is worth every penny I paid for it, oh, it is also well made of sturdy aluminum " I shaped " not of thin tubular construction that I see from competitive brands. I bought one for my daughter to replace the one I gave her earlier.

This Cosco ladder is built well enough for our needs and is just the right height so we don't have to get the bigger ladder to change most bulbs etc. I like that the upper rail slides down and it folds flat enough that it's not really noticeable next to our refridgerator. The rail works too, and makes it more secure than any of the step stools or ladders we've had in the past.

This step ladder is wonderful. dependable, solid and very well made., and yet so easy open, I wished I had bought this ladder years ago!! I am 69 years old and feel so safe(with what I do painting ect.,) the adjustable handle height is a great design.

I love this step stool because of its extension handle which provides for very steady climbing and standing. It's the only such stool I've seen anywhere.

BOUGHT THIS FOR MY MOTHER AND FATHER, BOTH OVER 80. WE HAVE ONE SIMILAR COSCO STEP STOOL ALL ALUMINUM LADDER AND IS THE ONLY ONE I FEEL COMFORTABLE FOR MY WIFE TO USE. HIGHLY RECOMMEND FOR EVERYONE, HANDLE IS VERY SECURE AND A GREAT SAFETY ADDITION. AFTER LOOKING FOR ONE SIMILAR TO OURS, I CAN HONESTLY SAY, THIS IS NO. 1.

I HAD A HARD TIME REACHING A UPPER CUBBERED.BROKE 2 CHAIRS.AFTER BUYING THIS PRODUCT I CAN NOW REACH THIS CUBBERED WITHOUT FEARING OF FALLING.THIS IS A VERY GOOD SMALL & STURDY STOOL.

My sister-in-law had one similar that was ancient! I searched every store of every genre imaginable. We finally found this one on-line. It is superb! Very light weight but extremely durable. It has an easy-to-use telescoping handle that allows you to get on the top step - probably not recommended by the manufacturer though. Some other models we looked at have a tray at the top. This will only add weight and make it much harder to "wield" quickly. My sister has one with the tray but it is much too small to really use well and she wishes she had bought this one!
