This unit is higher than I envisioned as well as having a wider base. These are things to consider if you've already decided on a space to stow it when not in use. For myself I expect to leave it out next to a bookcase. As soon as I put it to use, it seemed like everything changed. Suddenly, I was able to browse or straighten up the top shelves of my books which is otherwise difficult and requires me even at 6'1", to stand on my tip toes. This will also help me to get up to that cabinet behind the fridge, install swag hooks on the ceiling, and so on. Finally, it's very light in weight and can easily be picked up and carried with one hand, and in a pinch it can serve as a place to sit when all your chairs are in use.

GREAT! HEAVY DUTY PLASTIC
I use this for the sink so my toddlers can get to wash their hands with out me breaking my back pulling them up

Never falls over. Its made of great hard plastic, very very durable, great buy
