After giving our large travel system to a family member, I still wanted to have a lightweight stroller for our 2 year old for walks, visits to the mall or zoo, etc. Since he's two I didn't want to put a ton of money into something that we wouldn't be using all the time.

I checked out all of the lightweight strollers in this price range (<$50), and this was one of the few that offered both child and parent trays plus a basket underneath. My mom had bought this stroller when my son was born to keep in her car, and since she liked hers so much I figured I would get the same one. They must have updated the model because there are a few things I dislike about this version:

- There isn't a window on the canopy (as her model has). Not a huge deal, but some people with younger babies might want one.
- It's hard to use the drink holder/parent tray when the canopy is pulled back because it covers the tray. I just leave the canopy slightly open, but still a strange decision they made logistically.
- The canopy doesn't come down as far as the prior model, so more sun gets in.

The pros still outweigh the cons. It's easy to set up and assemble, lightweight and doesn't look cheap. It is a little 'stiff' to maneuver, but I got used to it quickly. I think you'd have a hard time finding another lightweight stroller this nice for the same price.

When the airline lost our stroller they gave us one of these as a loaner. While I was thrilled to have a loaner, we had lost an umbrella stroller (FirstYears Jet) with most of the same features as this, but costs less and is rated for heavier child and thus potentially usable for longer.

Problem 1: the thing is not ver compact when folded and almost didn't fit in the car with our suitcases.

Problem 2: three point harness, where I prefer a five point for my energetic son.

Problem 3: when my son stepped out, the foot pedestal popped off and his pants got caught on the pegs. I can see someone get hurt on this issue. The thing keeps coming off no matter how I push it back on.

Problem 4: parent caddy has three cup-shaped spots. Only one holds a cup or water bottle, with the other two being tiny.

Problem 5: one of the things I like about the umbrella is the ability to hang things off the handles.

On the positive side, the child caddy is sizable, as is the under basket, and it steers pretty well.

However, when I came back to look up and decide what to buy to replace the lost stroller, this is NOT the one. I come directly back to the First Years - either the Jet or perhaps an upgrade to the Ignite. Even though it doesn't have a tray it's so much better.
