An album to keep for life, November 30, 1999
This review is from: Le Cose Che Vivi (Audio CD)
This album is one of my favorite of Laura. What wonderful lyrics! If you can understand a little bit of what she sings, you will love the song. It is a album to any ocasion: when you are happy, sad, lonely, when you feel that you are losing your dreams, when you are in love... specially when you are lonely. And then you just sit, look "at the nothing", listen to her beautiful voice, listen the message of the songs, think of what is happening in your life (there are times when you will catch yourself saying: hey this is exactly what is happening in my life!) .... That's a wonderful album that you keep for the rest of your life. It's been a long time now that I had bought this album and I still listen to the songs each time I am bad and I still think this is so beautiful. And then, when you listen again, you remember how was the last pain, the last time you have listened to the same song. It's not like some English songs that, after a time, you can't bear to listen again. Laura is wonderful. You should buy this album. It's only sad to know that Amazon doesn't sell the Brazilian Version of this album. It includes some bonus in Portuguese Language, that is also so beautiful. Anyway, buy this one if you don't know if you buy the Spanish Version or Italian Version. If you can buy the Brazilian version, it's better, you win 3 songs in Portuguese.

Pausini has a great voice and this is her best album yet., August 28, 1998
This review is from: Le Cose Che Vivi (Audio CD)
I have tracked Laura Paucini for years now and find that this album is her best. Even without knowing the language, the passion and strength of her voice will thrill any listener. I encourage people to try her other albums. I find the Italian version slightly more moving than the Spanish version, as she is more at home in her native language. This CD is a perfect introduction to the world of Italian popular music.

Floating through the clouds, April 6, 2002
This review is from: Le Cose Che Vivi (Audio CD)
I don't speak a word of Italian and wouldn't know if Laura was calling me a scoundrel or telling me that she loved me more than life itself. Nonetheless this is easily one of the grandest pieces of music I've ever heard. This might sound a little strange (it does to me and I'm writing it) but I love to lay on the floor of my living room and close my eyes listening to this album. With my eyes closed and situated between the speakers and the wall, I hear her voice coming from everywhere at once. It is very much like listening while under the water, you may know their source, they arrive from all directions at once. Laura's velvet voice seems to pick me up and take me for a magic carpet ride over mountains and valleys and then burst up through the clouds. I feel like I am soaring above the world, yet very much connected with it. My favorite track is #6, Mi Sispiace, which is truly haunting. The depth of Laura's voice penetrates straight to your heart and grabs your soul as she then takes you soaring along the smooth contours of the mountains and valleys of perhaps the most enchanted landscape ever chronicled by music. Another wonderful track is #4, Seamisai, where Laura instead invites you into her heart so that you can feel every soulful beat, reach with every longing note and wipe away her tears as they fall. Le Cose Che Vivi is to the ears what Stary Night is to the eyes. Inviting, captivating and enveloping... pure beauty.
