An album to keep for life,
By Adriana Marie - seamisai@hotmail.com (São Paulo, Brazil) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Le Cose Che Vivi (Audio CD)
This album is one of my favorite of Laura. What wonderful lyrics! If you can understand a little bit of what she sings, you will love the song. It is a album to any ocasion: when you are happy, sad, lonely, when you feel that you are losing your dreams, when you are in love... specially when you are lonely. And then you just sit, look "at the nothing", listen to her beautiful voice, listen the message of the songs, think of what is happening in your life (there are times when you will catch yourself saying: hey this is exactly what is happening in my life!) .... That's a wonderful album that you keep for the rest of your life. It's been a long time now that I had bought this album and I still listen to the songs each time I am bad and I still think this is so beautiful. And then, when you listen again, you remember how was the last pain, the last time you have listened to the same song. It's not like some English songs that, after a time, you can't bear to listen again. Laura is wonderful. You should buy this album. It's only sad to know that Amazon doesn't sell the Brazilian Version of this album. It includes some bonus in Portuguese Language, that is also so beautiful. Anyway, buy this one if you don't know if you buy the Spanish Version or Italian Version. If you can buy the Brazilian version, it's better, you win 3 songs in Portuguese.

Pausini has a great voice and this is her best album yet.,

I have tracked Laura Paucini for years now and find that this album is her best. Even without knowing the language, the passion and strength of her voice will thrill any listener. I encourage people to try her other albums. I find the Italian version slightly more moving than the Spanish version, as she is more at home in her native language. This CD is a perfect introduction to the world of Italian popular music.

Floating through the clouds,
By Vince (Atlanta) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Le Cose Che Vivi (Audio CD)
I don't speak a word of Italian and wouldn't know if Laura was calling me a scoundrel or telling me that she loved me more than life itself. Nonetheless this is easily one of the grandest pieces of music I've ever heard. This might sound a little strange (it does to me and I'm writing it) but I love to lay on the floor of my living room and close my eyes listening to this album. With my eyes closed and situated between the speakers and the wall, I hear her voice coming from everywhere at once. It is very much like listening while under the water, you may know their source, they arrive from all directions at once. Laura's velvet voice seems to pick me up and take me for a magic carpet ride over mountains and valleys and then burst up through the clouds. I feel like I am soaring above the world, yet very much connected with it. My favorite track is #6, Mi Sispiace, which is truly haunting. The depth of Laura's voice penetrates straight to your heart and grabs your soul as she then takes you soaring along the smooth contours of the mountains and valleys of perhaps the most enchanted landscape ever chronicled by music. Another wonderful track is #4, Seamisai, where Laura instead invites you into her heart so that you can feel every soulful beat, reach with every longing note and wipe away her tears as they fall. Le Cose Che Vivi is to the ears what Stary Night is to the eyes. Inviting, captivating and enveloping... pure beauty.

Her 3rd album,
By Seby (Croatia) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Le Cose Che Vivi (Audio CD)
This album was released in 1996, 3 years after Laura won the San Remo festival. In every her album you can feel her growing as a singer and as an artist, and this album is actually her best ever album (for me :)) with songs like "Le cose che vivi" (The things you live), "Ascolta il tuo cuore" (Listen your heart) and "Seamisai" (Ifyouloveyouknow) that can touch your heart.Maybe her success is based just on the fact that she sings about true things that everyone of us feels deep inside and talks abput stories that every passed through. Especially in "Ascolta il tuo cuore" she suggests not to stop believing in love and never give up because the only thing that matters in the end is love and "to listen your heart and do what it says even if it makes you suffer"... So I really hope that everyone'll enjoy this album as i do...

Bravo!,

This is one of my very favorite CDs of all time. These songs are addictive! I have all Laura's CDs and this one is great. I speak very little Italian but it doesn't matter. I knew none when I first started listening to her and I fell in love with her music. There is something very special about her. She can make you cry and you don't even know what she said! You can just feel the emotion. Great Italian "Pop" music... It's a refreshing change from what we're used to. I highly recommend it!

I just love it!,

I really like this record.. On this album Laura has been part of writing process which I think is a really good thing. She has also written Il mondo che vorrei all by herself. There's also the song which she has dedicated to her mother: Mi dispiace. This cd was actually the very first one which didn't include any song that I haven't liked. I really like Laura's voice and music. And like I said already I love all the songs of this album, but I think the songs which I really do like to listen are: Ascolta il tuo cuore, Angeli nel blu, 2 innamorati come noi, Un giorno senza te and of course Il mondo che vorrei. Un grazie di cuore a Laura per questo disco!!

The Things That Live !,

It has to make an emotional impact to leave a lasting impression. The inspirational Laura Pausini reminds us of The Things That Live <Le Cose Che Vivi> most in LIFE. These diverse facets of emotion are expressed in every track on this soulful album. <Ascolta Il Tuo Cuore> Listen To Your Heart, <Incancellibile> Unattainable, <Due Innamorati Come Noi> Two Lovers Like Us, <Un Giorno Senza Te> A Day Without You, <Il Mondo Che Vorrei> The World That I Would Want -Tutti sono eccellenti. <Seamisai> (the title is an enigma of Love) will touch any hopeful romantic. I was in Italy when this album was released. My Italian friends and I listen to it over and over again. It has been instrumental in my learning the Italian language and culture. Wherever you are, wherever you go, sooner or later you will hear of Laura Pausini's <Le Cose Che Vivi>. It is that International!

Everyone needs this CD. It is absolutely incredible! Everyone I have played it for enjoys it immensely; even people who don't speak Italian. I also own the Spanish version which is also great, however, the Italian version is slightly better. Pausini's voice will make you a dedicated fan forever!
