Prior to picking up this album, I had only heard "Tutto Di Te" as a recommendation from a music website. Needless to say, after listening to this wonderful work of pop music, I am eager to discover the rest of this talented writer and performer's catalogue.

There is no denying that Nek has a voice akin to Sting (in fact, from reading his biography on his website you may learn that he specifically tries to emulate Sting). And while I am not a big fan of Sting's solo work as of late, it seems that Nek has developed his own strong musical identity which revels in the diversity of uplifting hooks and choruses.

The only reason I give this album 4 stars (instead of 5), is that there are a few places where I felt the album loses its otherwise excellent pacing. Nevertheless, if you have never heard the beauty of the Italian language put to song, may I suggest you check out Nek's "Le Cose Da Difendere".

anyway i love his songs and i wondered if anyone could help me locate his song called ALMENO STRAVOLTA i have looked everwhere but i cant find the song or the lyrics and i wondered which album it is on....................anyway.................almeno stravolta's video is him running away from lots of running people kiking a blue gas canister and at the end waves are washing onto the beach

Nek has strength in his personallity . He makes sure we know that right from the beginning : " The things i will defend " declares the tittle . A tittle which refers to love . His newest offering contains everything a fresh european pop sound should have. After hearing just the opening track , it's clear that the italian musician is gifted with an intense , macluline voice and a solid writing skill . Most of his songs are rock love ballads . " Cose De Defendere " , " Sei Solo Tu " and " Tutto De Ti " are simply beautiful to listen yet my personal favourite is " Labirinto " . Ofcourse there are some weak tracks ( " Mia Natura " ) and the lyrics at times tend to get mellow yet overall this is a well-crafted and well-perfomed music album which surely dezerves your attention .

I purchased this cd during this past summer in Italy and most of the songs are great. "Sei Solo Tu", Nek's duet with Laura Pausini, was so popular there and I just fell in love with it. I'd also reccomend Nek's "In Due" cd.

I first heard about Nek a couple years ago in my high school Spanish class when I heard "Laura No Esta" and I've been a die hard fan ever since. When I was in Italy during the past summer, I luckily caught a Nek special on TV in Milan, which was fabolous. Unfortunately, I missed a Nek concert since he was performing about a month before I arrived. This entire album is absolutely wonderful to say the least. Nek has a phenomenal voice! There are excellent collaborations with Laura Pausini and Dante Thomas. You won't regret purchasing this CD!

Up to now, I had not been particularly appreciative of NEK, prefering him to Eros Ramazzotti or Laura Pausini, but this new album has completely intoxicated me. It's so powerful with gorgeous music and lyrics. My favorites would be Sei Solo Tu and solo version of Cielo & Terra - worth every penny spent.

I recently purchased this cd with Laura Pausini, Nek has been in my cd player ever since I got it. It is sort of pop-ish, even so I would highly recomend it to anyone intersted in Italian pop.

This guy's voice sounds so much like Sting, formerly of the old band Police. He is great! The album has a couple of stand out tunes, like "Cielo e terra", "Se Solo tu" (duet with the lovely Laura Pausini) and the title track. You'll get a bit of English lyric here, too, in the duet with Dante Thomas.

I tried out the CD yesterday at a book store and I was hooked by this CD (I bought it off course!). The songs are awksome!! They have both energy and emotion. 'Fatti Amare' is my favorite!!
