A Must-Have Reference Book, January 16, 2007
This review is from: Cosmetic Microbiology: A Practical Approach, Second Edition (Hardcover)
This book was designed to be practical and useful. Targeted at both microbiologists and managers responsible for microbiology, "Cosmetic Microbiology" gives you information you can use immediately.
The chapters include a general background on microbiology, and discussions on regulatory, toxicology, preservative strategies, methods, control of manufacturing plant environments, and more. Particularly helpful are discussions regarding the PR aspects/considerations of preservatives, and the global perspective the book brings.
The chapters are written by renowned experts, and the book is edited by Dr. Philip Geis. Dr. Geis is a highly regarded and respected expert in this field. If you are a part of the cosmetic microbiology profession, this book should be on your shelf!
Highly recommended.
