Product Description

Against the black backdrop of the screen, a very realistic-looking space craft of some kind appears to be parked on the ceiling. Long and narrow geometric shapes - the Red Plasma - move rapidly across the screen, leaving four open lanes between them. Every once in awhile strange and unusual beings also move through the open lanes; these are the Space Skeeters--hey, don't look at me, I didn't write this program story. At the bottom of the screen is a large yellow globe-like figure that represents the planet from which the Orbinaut, the Kids and the Creeps emerge. Basically, the Orbinaut must reach the spaceship safely in order to control the thing. Cosmic Kids move out from the planet, one at a time, followed immediatey by two Creeps. The Creeps don't actually pursue the Kids, they just tag along real close. The Obrinaut in the space station above must release boppers to knock out the Creeps while avoiding the poor escaping Kid. Getting the Orbinaut to the ship is one level of the game. In it, you control the hero by use of the joystick. When the Kids come onto the screen - and they will only appear on at a time - they move on their own volition and require no joystick to get around among the plasma and skeeters. They'll move on up to the ship, allowing time for the Orbinaut to rain boppers on them. Getting the Kids off screen and into the ship is your goal; getting as many kids as possible into the rescue before the planet disappears from the screen is imperative. If the planet sinks offscreen before you've accumulated 5000 points, the screen flashes and the game is over. Score 5000 before this happens and you get to progress to a new planet. Also compatible with Atari 7800 and ColecoVision Module #1 (Atari 2600 adapter) video game systems.
