5.0 out of 5 stars if you like space disco...
I ran into Dee D on youtube one day; it was a video for Automatic Lover. It kind of blew my mind. This cd represents Dee D's first two albums, but the one you will love it for is Cosmic Curves, which contains Automatic Lover and a host of other amazingly cheesy, entertaining songs in what amounts to a rock/disco opera. This isn't great music (sorry Dee!) but is impeccable...

2.0 out of 5 stars Sound errors
This cd would have been great if it didn't have sound errors on several tracks.
And I'm not talking about my copy (it's on all of them). For that reason, don't spend more then 10$ or try to buy another edition while waiting for an official release.

This isn't great music (sorry Dee!) but is impeccable kitsch. I love it up and down. I would also like to say a separate review warning of encoding problems with several tracks had me concerned, but everything worked fine. Dig it! Get down with your bad cosmic self!

I have no idea who played in this album, but they seem to be very good, tasteful musicians, and I love Dee's voice.
I loved the storytelling, especially in the piece "cosmic curves", and all the songs have great hooks and are done very intelligently. Good songwriting.
Great album to listen to, in the late afternoon/evening, while watching the sky, wondering what kind of people, what kinds of cultures might be out there in the universe....
This album is food for thought and it is a great album to listen to, for those like me who were teen agers at the time it came out, just to remember what those times sounded like....
