4.0 out of 5 stars The Cosmo Way
I have really enjoyed this book so far. The drawings are excellent, and the fact that there is a "carnal challenge" rating for each position cracks me up. Some of the positions look just the same as others with *extremely* slight differences, but if you read the descriptions, they really are different enough to be very significant.

In life we all learn what you can & cannot do, or in this case what feels great & what doesn't, through trial-and-error. If you buy this book, it will be an ERROR. While it may look cool to have it lying around for people to "accidentally" see, an experienced person is probably going to laugh. I'm sorry, but this book is for the younger person who just wants to see how many ways a body part (especially the male's) can bend or TRY to extend. Most of the positions are just repeats drawn from a different angle. Some ARE impossible unless you never want your man to use his "item" again because you helped him break it backwards. Most are just positions...not meant to feel great or even good...just that you can do them but they're not meant for much of anything. I think Cosmo used their name to sell a book...just a book with not much "oomph". My honest advice, coming from older adult experience, save your money and just let nature, & what feels great to you both, take its course. You don't need a book to tell you what should feel good to him (or her). Instead, try just asking the person. I've found that communication is the way to a GREAT sex life! Both of you need to find out what feels great to each other and invent your own various positions from there....

2.0 out of 5 stars Read Cosmopolitan, January 1, 2006
The book wasn't that much different than what I read in Cosmpolitan magazine. I am familiar with the positions in the book - I just knew them by a different name. The book was not informative to me at all!

3.0 out of 5 stars Cosmo Kama Sutra, March 15, 2007

I didn't feel the book had anything in it that the average person hadn't already tried before in their own experimenting. After like the first five positions, the book started repeating itself by switching the man with the woman, the left side with the right, or leaning forward or more backward. I don't really recommend buying this book, there wasn't anything in it that I didn't already know.

because the pictures aren't of real people but are like bathroom figures. i'm not a big fan of the kama sutra books that have naked people all up in them...i feel like i'm looking at porn. if you're like me this is the book for you.

5.0 out of 5 stars Good Drawings, Modernized Text, August 31, 2005
I first went and looked at the Kama Sutra in the free on-line version at books-on-line.com. The price was certainly right. But it was the original, ancient text, and somewhat hard to follow. Damn good reading, but sometimes hard to imagine just what they were talking about.

Now comes this edition, very reasonably priced which takes the positions and illustrates them with drawings. It's a lot easier to understand. I guess that I'm just a bit too simple minded.

A lot of these look pretty interesting, but some of them (Face-to-Face Fandango, page 65) looks like it would hurt.

The book is put out by Cosmopolitan, so it's oriented to the female side. Each position has a 'Why You'll Love It.' A little bit of 'Why He'll Love It' wouldn't hurt. After all this is a two person sport.

1.0 out of 5 stars The Cosmo Kama Sutra: 77 Mind-Blowing Sex Positions, May 14, 2007
Unless you spent your entire life doing acrobatics in a circus this is not helpful at all. I returned it because it was in no way realistic and seemed it would be quite painful for those of us who are not from the circus.

3.0 out of 5 stars Ok book, December 18, 2010
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
I bought this book sometime ago. I liked how it wasn't rawnchy like some other books out there. There are pictures of actual people doing the deal, but drawings, so I am not comparing myself to some size 2 girl pulling these moves off. I would let a friend barrow it, but I wouldn't buy it again if it got lost.

5.0 out of 5 stars Absolutely Wonderful, June 8, 2010

This review is from: The Cosmo Kama Sutra: 77 Mind-Blowing Sex Positions (Paperback)
My hubby and I bought this, and it's great. I have been showing him pictures of the things we can do, and he is super excited to try them. What I love about this book in particular is it's couple friendly approach - you are not blasted with soft core porn, but also given enough information to get the idea of the how positions work. Some of the poses look like you need to be a contortionist, but really, the illustrations are to demonstrate what you are doing, not what it is going to look like in the process of the deed. This book is wonderful for inspiration you can either use their positions, or use these positions as a spring board for your own. I highly recommend this book.

2.0 out of 5 stars Not pleasurable at all!, August 30, 2007
UNCOMFORTABLE! Most of these positions were created out of desperation for "NEWNESS" opposed to created for pleasure and good sex! It is as though the point were not to create sexual satisfaction, but to test the couples physical flexibility and endurance for discomfort.
