The bizarre rock formations rise up thirty metres into the sky and create numerous fascinating images. The Chinese created some extremely descriptive names for the various rocky areas of Yunnan Shilin, 'The Cluster of Pinnacles That Supports the Sky', being one of many colourful names given to the pinnacles. Along the geothermal zone of the Hvita River around eighty kilometres from Iceland's capital of Reykjavik, the great Strokkur Geyser located in the south western section of the island attracts much interest. With its sparse and unique landscape Iceland has managed to retain its fascinating natural splendour right up to the present day. And its remarkable geysers are one of the world's most spectacular natural phenomena.
