I bought this book with the intent of using it for making cocktails for girls' night in.

The good: Lots of informative, glossy, colorful pictures, and simple, methodical instructions. Fun drink ideas, and fun quizzes in each section from Cosmo's editors. The tips and hints are fun and helpful as well. Definitely not your run-of-the-mill drink recipe book. Sure to stir up some fun at a party! The book is also bound in a binder-type book, so it should last longer than a paperback would.

The not-so-good: Some of the ingredients are really expensive, or impossible to find, and at times, both. This is the only negative thing I have to say.

Overall,I like it. Happy with my purchase, and will be sure to bring this with me when shopping for liquor, or when attending parties.

This book is a great find. My daughter & I had a weekend to ourselves where we just opened the book and starting making the drinks in the books. They turned out fablous!!! It has good receipes. Nothing fancy. Plain & simple receipes and you can use what you already have in your house. It was money well spent.

The book was in good condition, but did not appear to be "new" like the description stated. It should have been protected with some sort of covering to avoid small scuff marks on the cover.

Purchased with expectation that 21y/o and 24y/o daughters, or their 22y/o friend would like it; they weren't that interested. Gave them choice of five different drink mixing books at Christmas and this one garnered the least interest. They said there wasn't anything wrong with it, but they just liked the others for overall drink mixing content better. "Maran's" was most favored.
