I bought this wanting to see photos of classic shore house architecture as research for a novel I'm writing. This is not that book! A lot of text--tho some is interesting history and background. But photos are useless--like a pot of flowers by a door? I wanted to see things like gabled, cedar-shingled classic Jersey shore houses, and wooden sided cottages. Disappointed--and wasn't cheap!

The text is very interesting and informative. The only thing that I would add is more victorian homes from Cape May. This makes a nice coffee table book.
