The legs are long enough but the shoulder to crotch length is too short.

If they sold a quality product, they'd have some sort of exchange policy for these situations.

I contacted Big Feet and they refused to take them back since I had washed them.

Size Name: Small Verified Purchase
I ordered the Small size, based upon the size chart on the Big Feet website. This size is supposed to fit people up to 5'6" and 160 pounds, and I am under 5'5" and I weigh just under 125 (really). The pajamas out of the package fit reasonably well on my upper body, and the fabric was loose (width-wise) and very comfy throughout the garment.

However, the length of the legs and the feet were way too short. My feet are size 9 women's, and my toes were pressing painfully against the end of the footies; I also was straining to straighten my legs while standing up and lying down. I wondered if the pajamas were actually size XS and mislabeled, but I have no way to know for sure. They are labeled Small; also, the pajamas are made in China, which was not noted on the Amazon product description page.

The sizing was a big disappointment, but the customer service at Big Feet was even worse. I had to submit three return requests via the Amazon.com website before Big Feet responded 12 days after my first request, and the response was, essentially, tough luck. The company's policy will not allow returns of pajamas that have been worn (how was I supposed to know if they fit if I did not try them on?), and the delay in response told me a lot--and nothing good--about the firm.

I have been an Amazon.com customer since the last millennium, and I have placed hundreds of orders on the site over the years with very few problems. This purchase experience has been, by far, the biggest disappointment.

My Big Feet Footie pajama's were made with such a terrible material that they ripped (they were very loose) after 1 washing. They ripped so badly that they can't even be sewn back together- when I approached the company about this, their answer was: > Thank you for your email. We are sorry to hear that you are not happy with
> our pajamas. We do our best to provide a quality product and have many
> happy customers.
>
> We show in our care and washing instructions, on the website and on the
> page that comes packaged with your pajamas, that the pajamas are not
> preshrunk and that you should expect 7% shrinkage. And our policy states
> that once the pajamas have been washed, we are not able to refund or
> exchange them. I am sorry you are not satisfied with the pajamas but they
> are now damaged and washed.
>
> I understand that you are frustrated with this situation and I am sorry. At
> no time do we try to be misleading or leave out any information pertaining
> to our pajamas. We do our best to make customers happy. But we
> cannot accept them back nor can we exchange them so I do not believe there
> can be anything done.

:Really, quite helpful. If they sold a quality product, they'd have some sort of exchange policy for these situations.

At first, I liked the pattern and color, and found the PJs comfortable (baggy the way these types of PJs are supposed to be, so they are comfy when you are sitting or sleeping curled up), except for the drop seat: it is fastened with velcro, and has no overlap on the sides, so you have to make sure the velcro strip lines up exactly right. Even then, you can feel a bit of a 'breeze' from the edges.

Then, I washed them (in cold water, hand-wash cycle, air dried) and they shrunk so they are unwearable. Not just smaller, but uneven in shrinkage (ie: the left foot seems to have shrunk more than the right, and it is a bit twisted).

These are going straight to my Goodwill donation bag now. What a waste of money.

On the other hand, this pair of footie PJs (though it has no drop seat) is divine:Women's Guide Gear® Footie Pajamas I have two pair, have washed both (cold water, hang dry) with no noticeable shrinkage.

I'm 5'11" - bought the men's XL size. I can just barely squeeze into them. The legs are long enough but the shoulder to crotch length is too short. I'm afraid once I wash them I will not be able to get into them.

Tried to wear them for one night. Got up in the middle of the night and took them off as I was tired of feeling like I was being strangled from head to toe.

Cloth is very light. Back panel just barely covers the opening so there's no privacy there.

Just wasted $39.95 plus shipping.

I ordered a medium based on the website stating it was for someone up to 5'9'' and 180 lbs. I fall under this guideline. Upon receipt there was a instruction sheet indicating the item would shrink when washed. I tried the PJs on prior to laundering and they fit. They were washed in cold water and hang dried. The PJs now were extremely tight and uncomfortable too wear. I contacted Big Feet and they refused to take them back since I had washed them. Reading some of the older reviews it appears this is the usual response by them. I have ordered clothes from several other companies over the internet and had never experienced a refusal to accept returned goods. I am extremely disappointed that Amazon allows this type of business to be conducted on their website.
