These blankets are awesome for swaddling. I used them in the summer without fear of overheating. My daughter slept through the night at 6 weeks because I was able to swaddle her so well (my older children-not so much).

The only thing they should put in the description is that these are the 42" x 42" size. The 47" x 47" works much better when your child gets older. We also bought the "Princess Posie" set and they are the 47" square ones.

Okay, I'm a simple momma. I try to avoid babies r us like the plague. I try to keep the "stuff" to a minimum. You need these. Yup. Diapers, car seat, place for kid to sleep, Aden and Anais blankets. I think they're ugly. Yup. Ugly. But, they're amazing. Sunny outside? Throw a blanket over the car seat. These are so breathable, you'll be glad to have them. Kiddo won't sleep? Swaddle him up in this! My 6 month old still loves to be swaddle- he fits in these. Breast feeding in the park? Yup! Works as a little shield too. Do you need a 20 dollar cover up? Nope! You've got these! Super cold? Swaddle him in one of these and then throw him in a sleep sack. Double bundle! Rawkin.

Aden & Anais swaddle blankets are so multi-use!!! My friend bought it for me for my baby shower. Now, I'm giving them out to all my expecting mom friends. I use it as a blanket, nursing cover, playpen sheet, burp cloth. They get softer and softer as you wash them. They are lightweight for the summer time and it's breathable material for newborns.

Normally I am skeptical of something so simple as this thin cotton that is priced so high. However, we searched all over for a cheaper option and couldn't find it. Our son was almost 10 lbs when he was born, and all the receiving blankets we'd purchased or received were far too small for swaddling! He would easily wiggle his way out of them. We used a SwaddleMe with the velcro attachment for a while, but he outgrew this by two months. We needed something lightweight for summertime swaddling, and these really were the only blankets we could find. I'm very glad we did find them - we love these! The designs are simple and not tacky. The fabric is soft and breathable, but woven, and capable of a tight swaddle. The fabric is cut and sewn well - it doesn't come out of the washer or dryer stretched or misshapen. It's large, and also absorbent - not that you'd first reach for something this lovely to clean up a baby mess, but sometimes you just grab the closest thing you can, and these do the trick very well.

My only regret is that my son is now too old to be swaddled! However, these still get used in our home. Even though it's too cold to use them as regular blankets, we use them to coverup when nursing in public (he doesn't mind them like he does thicker blankets), or to spread out over a floor to provide a clean place for him to play.

i absolutely LOVE these blankets/wraps/swaddlers. my son was born just 2 weeks ago at the end of July, and all the other blankets/wraps i received as gifts were too hot to use this time of year. i use these to swaddle him at night and they are so flexible and breathable. I throw them on him when it gets a bit chilly inside the house with the A/C. i throw them on me as a nursing cover. i love the way they wash easily. they are stretchy and just super cute and comfortable! i used them from the first day in the hospital.

Swaddling blankets are a must have for anyone with a newborn. These blankets make the perfect wraps (use two so your little one doesn't escape!). They are soft, breathable, and cling to themselves so you can get a tight wrap every time. I would be lost without these blankets!

Hi! These blankets came highly recommended to me by a friend, but when I took them out of the package they smelled funny. I washed them with a bunch of other things and everything smelled like the detergent except the blankets still smell. The smell is like a plastic or chemical smell. I will probably be returning them. Has anyone else noticed a smell?

This is my second package of these blankets. Very comforting to know that if my baby happens to pull one over her face, she will still be able to breathe through the blanket. They are also a great size, making it easier to swaddle baby.

These are the best for swaddling - they are larger than other blankets. And most importantly, they aren't hot like all the other swaddling products. These were a lifesaver when my baby got spazzy at night. I was hesitant to buy them because of the price, but they really are worth it.

I love Aden + Anais swaddles and this is the third set I have. Be warned though that this particular line is smaller than the regular ones, measuring 44x44 vs 47x47. They also feel a little thinner as well.
