5.0 out of 5 stars Amazing, August 6, 2010
This review is from: Cottonwood Place (Paperback)
When Ian visits Cottonwood Place, the last thing he expects is healing. Megan, the owner of the inn, along with her two pets, are determined that no visitor leaves without their problems solves. Set in one of the few places in the US I have visited, I had no problem picturing the amazing back drop to this story. The American-Indian traditions weave wonderfully into this story as Megan discovers her life is marked for change and healing as much as Ian's.

5.0 out of 5 stars Not your typical inspirational romance..., July 13, 2010
By
This review is from: Cottonwood Place (Paperback)
I really liked this book because it wasn't your standard run-of-the-mill inspirational romance. The characters had flaws and clearly hadn't lead picture perfect lives. Yet, God's grace was there, waiting for them. The setting was idyllic and, of course, the animals were a nice addition to the plot. Great read!

5.0 out of 5 stars Believe in God's grace..., May 17, 2010
This review is from: Cottonwood Place (Kindle Edition)
Megan's herbal remedies and a secret under her barn have made people in Boulder City see her as some kind of witch-doctor. But Meg only cares about the broken lives and troubled people who come to Cottonwood Place Inn to heal. When Dr. Hunter shows up with a heart-weary, broken soul, Meg knows she must help. Combining God's love into American Indian legend, Meg shows that what seems real is actually logically explained, and what God does is always a miracle. With two wise animals, Meg and Ian find each other and love, all at Cottonwood Place.

5.0 out of 5 stars Come to Cottonwood Place Inn..., May 15, 2010
This review is from: Cottonwood Place (Kindle Edition)
Cottonwood Place

Megan MacCloud has overcome a bitter past and is happily managing a special Inn, Cottonwood Place, where patrons come to relax, renew, and refresh their lives. Helping people steer through their own difficulties, using herbal remedies, Megan has reunited couples, helped others relax, and even has a homeopathic recipe that aids in conception.

Dr. Ian Hunter is running far and running fast. Failure to save a patient and his own fiancée has caused Ian to doubt his ability. His thoughts turn towards despair and the need to find something worthwhile to renew his life's mission.

Wound through the story are American Indian rites, a history of the Southwest, the prodigal child returning to God's grace, and the love of a family who stands together through adversity with the strength to let one of their own find God's path again. An adorable cat and dog enigmatically work their own charm in this story of myths, perceptions and logical explanations with a dash of mystery, a taste of a different culture, and the love that unites two people born to be soul mates.
