The Cougar Tour Cat Pro men's golf set comes with everything you need to succeed on the links (except the skills, of course). The woods include an oversized, 10.5-degree, 400cc forged beta titanium driver on a filament-wound graphite shaft, along with oversized 3- and 5-woods made of 17-4 grade stainless steel with graphite shafts. The driver offers the ideal loft and balance for extra-long tee shots, while the shorter woods excel whether you're hitting off tightly mowed fairway or light rough. The set's 21-degree stainless-steel hybrid wood, meanwhile, is perfect for long approach shots--the domain typically handled by harder-to-handle 3- and 4-irons.

The right-handed set is also equipped with a bundle of 431-grade stainless-steel irons (4-iron through pitching wedge) with perimeter-weighted cavity backs. The design's low center of gravity helps the golfer hit long, high, straight shots with just the right degree of spin. Finally, the heel/toe, face-balanced putter offers a precision CNC-milled white ceramic insert atop a stepless-steel shaft. Smooth and accurate, the putter encourages a balanced, controlled swing.

OK, I should first say that I'm not a great golfer. I started playing a few weeks ago, and bought these online because they looked like a great deal. A customer of mine invited me out to a golf outting, and the club rental fee on the course was more than I wanted to pay, and being that I'd most likely be doing this again (it's not really about the game, is it now?) I figured these would pay for themselves in 2 or 3 outtings.

I'm not a great golfer, I don't know much about clubs. But, these seemed to swing ok, my buddies were kind of impressed considering what I paid, and I didn't do too badly. Nothing came broken, nothing broke on the course, the drivers had decent range, the irons did they're job. If you're tall like I am, you'll find the irons a little short and will need to get the grips extended. I'm 6' 4". I'll keep these until my game deems me worthy of something nicer.

Got them last week and have played 3 games and been to the driving range for a total of 6 hours. No problems with them at all, they feel great and play well. I put them through a few very rough swings to the ground and no bends or breaks. VERY solid. Great clubs.

Three times, three clean hits in the middle of the fairway, and three broken irons. They snap clean through the hosel and cannot be repaired. Other than the fact that they seem to break for no apparent reason, they play well...
