I had purchased these clubs to play in a company golf tournament. I really wasn't expecting much for the price, and was really suprised at what I saw. The bag is extremely nice and the clubs themselves are incredible for the price tag. Irons hit well and the drivers with their oversized heads and graphite shafts were perfect for someone new to the game, very light and easy to swing and connect with. The only thing that wasn't all that hot was the putter, but 1 club out of 18 isn't bad. Over all, with the bag, the hats for the drivers, and hat for the putter this was an insanely good deal and I would recommend this for anyone wanting to get started into golf. Even the pro's out on the course were impressed at the quality when I told them the price!

I purchased this set a few weeks ago and have played with them several times. The clubs are average quality; but great for a first set or a bargain set. The irons feel nice through the swing, but the grips are just standard cheap rubber. The putter is functional, but not everyone wants this style of putter. The 3 and 5 woods feel right and the graphite shafts aren't too rigid. The driver is a bit odd though. It feels similar to the 3 and 5 woods, but for some reason just feels a bit more awkward in my hands. The bag is the real surprise in this set. The bag is really nice with good quality feel and LOTS of pockets for all your gear. It's a stand bag which is a huge plus, and this with the rain hood and head covers for the 1,3,5 and putter make this kit an EXCELLENT buy for the money! Not to mention the whole set looks pretty sharp. I recommend this set for those starting out in golf, or for those looking for a decent buy at a great price. I'm totally satisfied, and if I experience any problems with this set I'll make sure to post another review.

I've have had the chance to hit with these clubs a couple times on the range and on the field and so far they have been great. The irons hit pretty well, although it doesn't seem to give as much distance as the more expensive clubs. The driver has a lot of flex because of the graphite shaft (as opposed to the steel shafts for the irons) but once you get used to it, it hits pretty well. The set did not come with wedges so I bought the sand wedge and lob wedge made by Ram Golf for $10 each on amazon. It's a cheap investment and they get the job done. The bag is very nice with pretty much everything you would want in a bag. It has double shoulder straps, lots of pockets and it also has the automatic stand (which is very helpful on the field if you are not carting it).

Overall, I am very pleased with the Cougar set. I think it's perfect for beginners such as myself because you get all the equipment you need for a very affordable price. If you are just beginning to get into golf, these clubs will treat you well.

if you are hitting these clubs like happy gilmore then of course you are going to break them. ive had mine for about 6 months with no problems at all. only thing i dont like is the 3 and 5 woods are a little large...as in almost as large as the driver so hitting them off the fairway can be a little difficult; other than that a great set to start out with im please for 120 bones.

This is a great inexpensive starter set for a beginner like myself. I've been hitting with them quite a bit over the past few months and I've never had a problem with them. The bag is great, the driver, 3wood and 5wood are nice, and irons are perfectly fine for a beginner like myself. I do wish the set had a lob wedge and a sand wedge in addition to the pitching wedge that was included. Also, the putter could be better. Overall though, if you're a beginner and you don't want to spend a lot of money, this is an excellent set for you.

Excellent set for beginners and a great price. Used these for a few months until I got better and upgraded to some decent pings. My buddy uses these now as he is beginning also. A little short but other then that no problems.

I used it few times so far and I feel this is a "not bad at all" product. Quality of the carry bag is not good. Clubs are average. I used it 20 odd times and no damage yet to the clubs. This is a good choice as a first golf club set.

After only about 20 swings, the head of my 4 iron snapped off. On the next outing, the head on my 5 wood came loose. Great bag, but the quality of the clubs is reflected in the price.

I am not a golf person, I'm just learning, and these clubs were a great deal. The grips are rubber, which isn't great when you sweat, but other than that I really don't have any complaints. It's pretty tough to get a whole set up clubs, a bag, and club covers for under 100 bucks. Especially with free shipping.

If you're looking for a set of clubs that just look nice at the club house, then you've found your set. They come with 18 nice looking clubs and a very sharp carrying bag. Unfortunately, these clubs are terrible if you're trying to play a round of golf. I used them for an outing when I didn't have mine own set and not only lost about two clubs length of distance, but the head of the five iron came off on about the fifth swing. With this set, you get what you pay for.
