More About the Author

In 2003, when her last excuse left the driveway headed for Colorado State University, Jeanne decided it was time to re-commit to her passions, life coaching and writing.

As a professional life coach, Jeanne niches in teen and young adult issues and has been working with young people since 1989. Her first book, If You Could Be Anything, What Would You Be? was published in 2004 and garnered two national awards, the prestigious iParenting Award and USA Best Books Award for the young adult category. If You Could Be Anything helps teens focus on their futures by providing them with the concepts and skills they need to create the life they wish.

In 2007 Jeanne was contracted by Neale Donald Walsch's School of the New Spirituality to co-author Conversations with God for Teens, the Guidebook. Since that time she has added Purpose Coaching and Spiritual Integration to her coaching niches.

In October of 2009, Jeanne will release her third book and her first stab at fiction titled Strays. Strays tells the story a young woman, unable to navigate her life, and her canine guide Max. As a storyteller, Jeanne has woven the tale around the stories and legends about the purpose and meaning of the plants and animals that she grew up hearing. Described as The Shack meets Dr. Dolittle, the book is full of the insight and wisdom of nature that has long gone unnoticed.

Jeanne is livin' the dream in the beautiful Smoky Mountains of western North Carolina. The empty nested mother of two incredible adults shares her cabin with her husband Claude and their two four-legged Masters of the Universe, Usdii and Jake. She intends to keep coaching people to live lives of authenticity and passion as she continues to write and edit and edit and edit...

1.0 out of 5 stars Basic - and degrading, July 27, 2010

This review is from: If You Could Be Anything, What Would You Be? A Teen's Guide to Mapping Out the Future (Paperback)
The first three chapters are okay: it's pretty basic information. The rest of the book? Crappy, and degrading to young adults. I (as well as most other young adults) don't like being talked down to.

Webster throws tidbits of her own beliefs in there too, talking about sex, drugs, spirituality, etc., and she talks about herself and her family a lot. 1) Being preached to isn't fun 2) If you write a book about planning for someone's future, DON'T shove your own beliefs down the readers throats and use personal examples sparingly.

Overall, the book is so basic, it's not worth buying. Or, you could give it to a kid in middle school or lower. High school and up - it's BASIC COMMON SENSE.

This review is from: If You Could Be Anything, What Would You Be? A Teen's Guide to Mapping Out the Future (Paperback)
i received the book very fast, in excellent conditions just as described. the book it self is not like any other developmental workbook, this actually helps you to describe where do you stand and and what are your aspiration, is a life plan. this book makes you come up with all your aspirations, and dream and pretend that nothing stops you from achieving them.
