Metro Mix was a mistake,

This is a good song - it really is. Diane Warren's perceptive, sublime lyrics are perfect fodder for any slushy duet for popular vocalists to try. This song originally appeared on Enrique's own 1999 Interscope Records album and surprised many people ! It was a unique pairing, vocally, that didn't disappoint the listener and the recording was beneficial for both of them, however, then Whitney brought out her "Greatest Hits" double album in 2000..... On Whitney's album, a mix called the "Metro Mix" was used. It infused the song with unnecessary dance beats, but the worst thing of all was that it lowered the volume of Enrique's vocal parts, resulting in Whitney's vocal's sounding out-of-balance and dominant on the song, rather than the balance + harmony of the voices that it was supposed to be. For some insane reason, this "Metro Mix" was the version that was decided to be used as the single in the U.S. and later in the U.K. - It was a mistake to use the "Metro Mix" of "Could I Have This Kiss Forever" = the original version from Enrique's album (Latin guitars and all...! AND ESPECIALLY Enrique's vocals being the SAME volume as Whitney's own !) should've been the version to have released as a single, but now Whitney's star will NOT shine bright with the "Metro Mix" version of the song. A missed opportunity. This single is only worth buying if you are an ardent supporter of either artist and are willing to buy a "reasonable song".

i never into enrique, his father? yes but not the son, after listening to this R&B song he dueted with whitney, it just melt my heart away, this was my top for 2000, with the MTV, it makes the song even better, the original version was rather slow but it's the metro version that melted me more! don't forget about the latino mix, i think this song sounds better with the remixes than the original mix, trust me, try this and u'll luv this, i did!

This has to be one of the best songs recorded the in the last 5 years. I don't know too much about Enrique, but he's outsanding on this project. Two thumbs up to Whitney, Enrique, the writers and all associated with this project.

I love the song by Whitney and Enrique "Could I have this kiss forever". There are a lot of romantic songs but this one grabs your attention and makes remember a romantic time in your life that made you smile and feel really good. Everytime I hear this song it takes me there and automaticly I feel the smile coming on.

For Whitney Houston, she always surprises me with how well her voice goes into many different kinds of great songs. Yet, that is a good thing, the songs are also as good, but could be better. Her collaboration with Enrique Iglesias on Could I Have This Kiss Forever is a well made duet from her 2000 Greates Hits record. The song does have a nice dance beat, but it isn't one of Whitney's best duets, but a good one. All in all, there was a original version that they recorded of the Diane Warren tune that only appeared on an Enrique Iglesias record, and not on Whitney's. Still the song does stand out as a well made Latin Party anthem, and truly worth kissing to.
