I COULD LISTED TO THIS SONG CONSTANTLY. IT IS THE MOST WONDERFUL SONG I HAVE EVER HEARD. HE MUST HAVE "BEEN THERE" OR HE COULD NOT SING IT THAT WAY. THE MOST TOUCHING SONG TO COME ALONE IN RECENT YEARS. THANK YOU R. KELLY

I really love this song, when i first heard it I just couldn't resist the song.

I like this song because it helps the heart and fills your emotions with wounderful thoughts about different things and ideas. Thank you R kelly for giving us somethimg wounderful to listen too.

This is his BEST work yet. I can listen to "If I Could Turn Back The Hands of Time" over and over. Just a beautiful song.

i'm not a great listener but some song makes you to listen,understand and think.."if i could turn back the time".. is one of the best.

I had to call the radio station to find out who the artist was on this song. I'm not an R Kelly fan per se, but this song is so beautiful, I had to know who sang it. I love it!!

Are we talking about the Radio version of the song or the one on the Album "R"? The Album "R" version is not my cup of tea. The radio version is a great R&B sound of the old school (circa 1960s). I have not paid any attention to Pop music since the middle 1980s. But the radio version of 'Turn Back the Hands of Time', blew my mind. I came of age in the late 50s - early 60s so there are many roads I wish I would have taken. This song says it all for me and probably for many of my generation. It great to hear a young black Artist going back to his R&B roots and not down the dead end streets of Hip-Hop. So if you are still out there Ernestine (of East San Jose CA) and can recall 1961, this song is my apology to you for not coming back to America for so many years.

I received a home-made copy of the R. Kelly song along with another recording on the CD that was by someone else obviously not R. Kelly.

This CD is a two-track single. It contains the original album versions of If I Could Turn the Hands of Time, 6 minutes 18 seconds, and dancing with a rich man, 3 minutes 28 seconds. Awesome single cover of r kelly.
Produced, Written, and Arranged by R. Kelly. He plays all the instruments on these songs. The executive producer is Barry Hankerson. Background vocals on if i could turn back are done by R. Kelly, Sparkle and Bruce Kelly. Mixed by R. Kelly and Stephen George at the Hit Factory NYC.

I don't remember when I first heard this song, but I do remember the time when it happened. I had just left my 4 month girlfriend to go live in another state with my parents...I really had no control of the separation.
Well, back to the song...I'd say it's a really smooth, uplifting & could say, sad song. Makes you think about a lot of things when it refers to your significant other.
I bought the cd right away and listened to it for hours.
I do recommend it if you like R Kelly and if you are into "slow jams" and R&B.
