These may be standards and you may have heard them a thousand times, but George makes you think you are hearing them for the first time. In my opinion George Coleman is one of the best, if not the best. living tenor player. He shows this in fine style on this album. Really great stuff.

This record is a great piece of work from a man who always plays on a high level. If you don't know George Coleman, you should. He's played on some of the seminal jazz albums. Here he is doing the music of Rodgers, and the result is adventurous and classic.
