She donates her professional skills to nonprofits, including the Texas Committee for the Prevention of Child Abuse, the Austin Child Guidance Center, Ballet Austin, and the Texas Society for the Prevention of Blindness. Fowler was inspired to write Could You Love Me Like My Cat? by her first kitten, Smoky.

Beth Fowler is the author of this short, but cute question book. Throughout the book is questions that ask things such as, "Could you not mind if I unintentionally shut you in the closet?", and, "Could you help with the sewing by pulling off loose buttons?", and, "Could you keep me on my toes by weaving in and out between my feet?" Only a true cat lover could appreciate the 'love' in this book!
This is a quick read and I would recommend it for the true cat lover's book shelf. "Could you have nine lives and want to spend all of them with me?" 1smileycat :-)
