5.0 out of 5 stars Blues Band? Who cares! It's great music!
As per usual, Repertoire's mastering job is great. The music is is diverse - ranging from straight-out blues to the pop smash, COULDN'T GET IT RIGHT. STILL, all of this music sounds at home on the same disc. If you want a single disc compilation of tight, bluesy, British rock, LOOK NO FURTHER. Snap this up.

Yeah Yeah sounds really suspicous, like its been
speeded up,(time compressed?)and vocal removed
with a strange piano part that didnt seem to fit
Other than these 2 misrepresentations the rem-
ainder of the tracks sound great!

This is not the Climax Blues Band I remember.? All the tracks here are remastered or reworked in some way & in doing so have been altered from the original. The only song here that sounds good is Couldn't Get it Right. The cuts from a Lot of Bottle & Tightly Knit are badly redone. If you want to hear the real CBB get the original CDs A Lot of Bottle or Tightly Knit.

5.0 out of 5 stars Different Collections, October 21, 2010

There are two different releases by this name: "Couldn't Get it Right" on the Repertoire label with 22 tracks, and "Couldn't Get it Right... Plus" on the See For Miles label with 18 tracks. There is some over lap, but Plus has 12 tracks that do not appear on the Repertoire version. And the Repertoire version has 16 tracks that do not appear on the Plus (See For Miles) version. Another point to note is that the Repertoire version has two tracks, Reap What I've Sowed and Using the Power, that are the edited single versions. As another reviewer noted, the bottle-neck guitar solo was removed from the former.

I own both versions plus the two disc set 25 Years: 1968-1993. You'd think that I wouldn't need all three sets. But the 25 Years set has 23 tracks that do not appear on either of the other two sets. I was hoping to unload at least one of my sets, so I did this analysis. And it turns out that I'll be keeping all of them. If you're a big CBB fan, you need all three as well - unless you can find all their individual albums on CD. Good luck.

4.0 out of 5 stars Huh?, February 17, 2000

Can anybody explain these previous reviews. Anyway a good album, except missing 'together and free', 'using the power' and the version of 'reaching out' is horrendous compared to the album release.
