Little to do with counseling, much to do with authors bias.,

This review is from: Counseling and Development in a Multicultural Society (Hardcover)
Mr. Axelson seems bent on promoting his prejudice toward the "dominent society values", disregarding such concepts as "melting pot", "Americanization", etc. Seems to have little insight into Mexican-American culture and virtually a first grade level comprehension of Asian values. Abhors the use of stereotypes yet uses "honky" and other terms to describe white America. As a tool for helping those in the helping profession, it is of little use. The theme of counseling is merely a front for Mr. Axelson's personal agenda.
