From the Inside Flap
"I wish we could wake up together." Luke was shocked to hear himself. "Uh . . . I mean . . . "
"Yes," Darcy breathed, "I know what you mean."
Their lips met in a long, deep kiss that made him aware of every square inch of their bodies that were touching.
"Whatever happens," she said when their lips parted, "you know it's only temporary."
"I know." He kissed her again.
"I can't stay."
His mouth moved against hers as he murmured, "I know that, too."
Their gazes met. "I don't want any sad scenes when I have to leave," Darcy said.
It was something he could promise now, but what about in two weeks? What if they did finally make love and it was as wonderful as he imagined? Would he be able to let her go?

GOBBLE-GOBBLE?
Luke Calloway was no chicken, but what could he really offer Darcy Carson - an L.A. newshound hiding in the heartland of Iowa? Certainly not love!
He already had more than his share of chicks - fifty thousand of them, to be exact, on his turkey farm. Not to mention three prankster sons and a meddling mother who desperately wanted him married. And now, Darcy's mother was also looking at him as an excellent "son-in-law" prospect. Unfortunately, no one cared that Luke and Darcy had absolutely nothing in common - or did they?
A month before turkeys were scheduled to grace tables across America, the real action was at Wishbone Acres. And if Luke wasn't careful, come turkey day, he'd find himself served on a silver platter . . . dressed in a tux and trussed to Darcy forever!
