Liked her in Zero 7, liked her better in her first solo outing, but this latest set is excellent. She cuts the power loose on a few of the tracks, 1 or 2 of which actually flirt with the edges of true folk territory. Most have this soul baring girl unplugged vibe that really resonates, and I'm a guy...I mean a regular guy. Good Stuff Here...

Saw Tina perform in Chicago this May on the recommendation of a friend... was incredibly impressed.. she is an eloquent songwriter and a wonderful performer. This CD is a staple in our home- if you have an opportunity to see her, I can't recommend it highly enough... she is as lovely as her music. In choosing my favorite of her CDs, I am torn between this and "In the Red." Both are incredible- beautiful and insightful... take a listen and I bet you'll be hooked.

Strong Songwriting!,
By Some of the songs have an immediate catchiness about them; such as "On the Run", "My Business" and perhaps , "You Know Better" - which after a quite first verse turns into a great power-pop ballad. Overall it feels like a very personal album with fine lyrics dealing with existential questions about finding oneself. Some songs won't have the immediate appeal of the before mentioned; but the moving and keytrack "Sacre Coeur", the fine ballad "Open Wide", the half-acoustic "Night Cab" and not least the bluesy and soulful "Cruel to the Sensitive Kind" are likely grow on you. Somehow "Cruel to the Sensitive Kind" reminds me of Sheryl Crow's "I Believe" There are really no weak tracks here - apart from the un-necessary hidden track. All in all an impressive effort from Tina Dico.

I love everything Tina does but Count To Ten is my favorite of her albums. She doesn't seem to be very well-known in the U.S., which is surprising. I think Count To Ten should have been in the Top 10 on the charts and nominated for a Grammy. It must be lack of good marketing. I think it would help if she was signed to a major label that had the money to promote her the way she should be promoted.
I saw her in concert last night at the Cafe Du Nord in San Francisco. She's a beautiful person and her voice is even better in person than on her albums, which is saying a lot!

I love Tina's music. I got to see her in L.A. in October at the Hotel Cafe. She performed several songs from "Count to Ten" It was fantastic. What impresses me most about her and her music is her honesty and originality. The songs are beautifully crafted, good lyrics and great poetry. I would highly recommend any of her music to anyone.

Count to 10, as that's how many stars this fine album deserves. Tina, relatively unknown here in the US, is a sensation in her native Denmark, and after listening to this album it's a small wonder why. This is a gem of a collection, filled with songs that are more poignant for their simplicity than anything else. Coupled with smart lyrics that are truly the centerpiece of Tina's songwriting. I also love her voice, which seems to be able to fit her need in any condition, from gravelly to clear as a bell. And at times I'm surprised by just how deep a tone she can produce - arguably one of the lowest of any female singers I know of - while still being able to hit notes. This is truly a talented young woman, and I hope it's only a matter of time before she catches on here.

I bought this album after hearing a review of it from a very cool show called "Mixed Bag", which is on a public radio station in upstate Pennsylvania. It's turned out to become one of my favorite albums. The combination of her voice, lyrics and powerful melodies really resonate with me. When my high school age'd step daughter heard it, she also loved it. The entire album is strong, and does not get the attention it deserves.
