5.0 out of 5 stars BRAZEN, BIZARRE, BRAVO!, September 24, 2010
This review is from: The Counterfeit Murder in the Museum of Man: A Norman de Ratour Mystery (Paperback)
This book is FUN and very funny! As with the previous 'De Ratour Mysteries', I LOVE Alcorn's layered wit, biting satire and wicked humor. Merrily reading along one encounters laugh-out-loud quips and names like "Phyllis Stein" Bwahaahahaa- this guy knows how to deliver a comedic sucker punch. What Carl Hiaasen is to Florida, Alfred Alcorn is to academia. Brazen, bizarre, BRAVO!

5.0 out of 5 stars When Murder is Funny...., June 12, 2010
This review is from: The Counterfeit Murder in the Museum of Man: A Norman de Ratour Mystery (Paperback)
The most entertaining and third in a series (to be continued), The Counterfeit Murder in the Museum of Man is a delicious escape into a world of wit, odd personalities with even odder names, the English language as you've never heard it before, and Alphus! Don't miss this book!

This review is from: The Counterfeit Murder in the Museum of Man: A Norman de Ratour Mystery (Paperback)
What a romp! If you haven't already met Norman DeRatour, treat yourself to this juicy, funny mystery series.
I couldn't stop laughing and/or worrying when here in "Counterfeit," Norman is threatened by seedy thugs, miserable rich people, and worst of all- academic bureaucrats.

Norman's new housemate, a fluent Chimpanzee named Alphus, is one of the most captivating, endearing characters I've come across in a long time. I'm ordering 7 more of these delicious reads right now to hand out to friends.
