Get it for one song,
By Rollo Tomassi (Williamsburg, VA) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Red Hot + Country (Audio CD)
Various big name artists collaborate to cover various older hits, but this disc is an absolute requirement for just one song: the Mavericks (with a younger Raul Malo) are joined by Carl Perkins and classic twanger Duane Eddy to cover Perkins' "Matchbox". This is, hands down, the hottest version of one of the greatest rockabilly songs of all time. If this "Matchbox" doesn't have you shaking one or more parts of your anatomy to the music, you need to seek medical help immediately.
