Brilliant compilation,

Highway 101 helped to change country music forever with their brand of rocking country music. The departure of the original lead singer, Paulette Carlson, after only three original albums caused a decline in their commercial fortunes although they have continued to make great records. Even the return of Paulette for a while in the mid-nineties failed to revive their fortunes.
Highway 101's Greatest hits collection is incomplete - it only covers the original period with Paulette and even then misses out some tracks. Although there is some overlap with Greatest hits, this compilation includes all the missing hits with Paulette (All the reasons why, Setting me up, Walking talking crying barely beating broken heart) as well as a couple of tracks featuring Nikki Nelson (Bing bang boom, Baby I'm missing you). Also here are a couple of album tracks (Somewhere between gone and goodbye, Woman walk the line) that weren't hits but would surely have been hits if selected for release as singles. If you are new to Highway 101's music, start with Greatest hits. Buy this to get the best of the rest.
