Traditional blocks with appliqué added to it make up this book. There are only five different blocks but there are 17 projects.

The book begins with basic quilting instructions that include cutting, piecing and finishing techniques. Each project has a photo of the item, then general instructions follow. The material and cutting lists next and of course the assembly and finishing instructions wind up the pattern. Templates for the appliqué are included at full size.

There are only five basic patterns in this book and it is priced at $24.95. Most quilters can "figure out" how to create different projects (such as quilts or pillows or wall hangings) so providing the "how-to" again and again but only with a different block is repetitious.

I love this book. It is full of wonderful quilts and table toppers. I like machine applique, so this book is perfect as far as designs that are suitable for applique.

This book is exactly as it states "Country Fresh". The instructions and techniques are easy to follow and well written. What a beautiful blend of piecing and applique. I also love the choice of fabric patterns and color in the beautiful photographed completed projects in this book. There is also a great selection of multiple projects in this book.
Can't wait for the next one to be out in 2011!!

Great selection of quilts - cannot decide upon my favorite. This book was an excellent gift (as I was told upon several occasions) for all levels. I am disappointed that the next book will not be out in time to make my Christmas shopping easier!

I treasure this book. I love the combinations of piecework with applique. The applique complements the piecing nicely, which helps bring "life" to the projects. I found the instructions were written clearly and easy to follow with lots of diagrams. And I appreciated the way the finished projects were displayed in the photograghs.
