An album of acoustic leaning melodic guitar music, from the late Marcel,who sadly went down on Flight 800 off long island.(the day before my wedding in Paris...) Chet Atkins was a fan, as well as jazz great Larry Coryel. Marcel was a legend in France, and known to most real 'Pickers in Nashville' too. Not hard music to get into, but not the generic 'Easy Listening' pap. He was also one of the best guitar and music teachers in France, I know and have played with some of his students, and they ALL spoke highly of him. If you lean toward the revival of bluegrass music or Newgrass, and especially the instrumental work, then this is a fine addition to your collection. Perfect to put on at sunset, sip some cabernet and relax to some beautiful and intelegent music. |
