5.0 out of 5 stars Steve Trovato is a Master
Trovato, like his colleauges Don Mock and Keith Wyatt, is a Master at his craft. Trovato's forte being Country Rock, Mock being Jazz and Wyatt being Blues. Even better that this transfers easily over to their way of teaching. For those that think that country playing is hokey, try incorporating these licks into your playing. 3.0 out of 5 stars No for beginners or hobbyists
I want to caution amatuer players against buying this. In my opinion, it is too challenging for your average guitarist, perhaps most guitarists. It seems to be geared towards session players. The licks sound great and have half speed versions to practice to, but, all in all, aren't appropriate for the repetoires of intermediate players.

Another great book by the Country Rock Master.

This is a great book with a wide variety of useful country licks. I've taken personal guitar lessons from Jerome Arnold, and the guy really knows his stuff.

5.0 out of 5 stars Very Good, June 15, 2009
This review is from: Country Licks for Guitar (REH Publications) (Paperback)
I really like this book. It has some very useful licks for playing country guitar. The book is well organized and easy to understand and the licks have all kinds of different flavors and speeds to them. You can tell this book was written by someone who knows country music. So far, this book is my favorite for learning licks from.
