Very Traditional, Indeed, April 16, 2004
I remember when I first purchased this cd. I had found it in the "cheap" section at Walmart. I was surprised to hear how traditional Mike's music was on this compilation. Now, this cd will and probably was not played on the top 40. Today's "country radio" don't even know what country means. This would be too old fashion for them. One of the best song's on the album has got to be, "That Train Don't Stop Here Anymore". If you like traditonal country music, buy this album off of Amazon, seeing how it is not made anymore.

A diamond in the coal bin., November 14, 2000

I have worn out two cassettes of this album. This was one of the best country albums of the mid '90s. If you like hard-edged, guitar-driven country music you won't go wrong here. Mike Henderson has as unique a sound as you'll find: bluesy, rootsy, spare and just a little dangerous. I have been trying to find another copy of this cd for over a year and was afraid I might never find one. Don't pass up a chance for a great cd that will someday disappear.

Pure, Traditionl Country Music, January 13, 2003

I agree with Uncle Redeye. This album was one of the best in the '90's. I first saw Mike Henderson in a video doing his song, "Hillbilly Jitters" and thought it was kindive funny. But then I bought the album and man, it is great!! Mike sings from the heart and his music is just sensational. Not only that, he is a very talented guitarist. The album was so good, I bought 2 more because they do not produce them anymore. Check out Mike's other album's out. They are blues album's. Mike can play a mean slide guitar. You'll regret it if you don't!
