I can't believe no one has written a review on this fantastic CD!! Don't get this twisted with the "Country Preacher live at operation bread basket" Cd.This one is filled with more selections played by an outstanding band.There is a lot less talk and a whole lot of playing."Miles Away" Is a 13 minute tour de force with solo's to die for by this group recorded in front of a live audiance."The Jive Samba" and "This home" will have you moving with joy. They come with eleven minutes of gut filling Jazz .I came upon this Cd while looking for the classic rendition of "Fiddler on the roof" played on Sirrus radio.It was my first time hearing it by Cannonball. Just like "My favorite things" with John Coltrane and "We free Kings" and Roland Kirk, Adderley put's his mark on this song and how!!
This CD is VERY hard to find and is a bargin even at the prices here.
Once your friends hear your copy, They will be upset because they "Can't find it anywere" Just do a search, It's a rare bird indeed.
