This is a touching indie movie, perfect for when you need a break from all those action blockbusters and want to watch a movie centered around characters & their personal journeys. The N. Carolina mountain scenery is an ideal place for the main character Dr. Gibbs (Cameron Bancroft)and his son to face up to their grief over the loss of their wife/mother. The colorful characters of the community add humor and warmth to the story. Actress Bellamy Young is pitch perfect from her character's first encounter with the Dr. Gibbs. The payoff at the end of the film is emotional and powerful. I definitely recommend this film!

I love this film. I have seen "Country Remedy" and want two copies to give as gifts. It is story about grief and transformation. I laughed and cried - the characters are so real. The story is beautiful and the mountain setting is beautiful. This is the kind of story you want to see again and to share.

I grew up in rural North Carolina - not the mountains, but a small town. The characters are true-to-life; some are like folks I know. Where I spent the summers, I used to worry about getting a snake bite, because of the distance to any kind of medical care - a situation that fortunately didn't materialize. I have now lived in city and country, love them both, and appreciate the gifts of a slower pace of life. Today I'm sitting in my office, surrounded by paperwork and deadlines, and I keep thinking about this film.

The DVD, Country Remedy, is an excellent family movie. It is really a "feel good" movie. I would especially recommend this movie for those in Western North Carolina.

This is a great family film. I would highly recommend this movie for adults and kids. I have enjoyed it, I saw it on the GMC channel before buying it and had to get it. I have not regretted it. I only payed a little over one dollar for it plus the shipping and handling. That was brand new as well. I was very pleased with the value that I got with this purchase! It is a must get for those that like family films!!

An excellent movie. Well acted and good story.
One problem, which stopped me from giving it a 5 star rating: The voices were often hard to hear, so I had to turn up
the volume to almost maximum to hear what they were saying. At times you had to quickly turn down the volume or hurt
your ears.

I really like this film interesting to see a man that moves into a different location brings his son and in time the man being a Doctor shows that a little patience, time, and understanding you can bring goodness in everyone life, you touch. This films show this very strongly wonderful ending that touches you in the spirit

Sometimes a movie is really worth seeing - even more than once. In this film, the elements of life that are real and connect us to others - our work, our families, our friends, love and grief- are brought together in a story that pulls us back again and again to its simple and eternal truths. This is a film for the whole family - but make sure there is a tissue handy to wipe away the tears even as you smile with the joy you will experience.

I enjoyed this movie enough to buy it.It is a sweet story.Some of the story falls short for me in that
it leaves somethings out that I wish were in it.Yet the main point of a wake up call I find meaningful.
