This truly comprehensive guide for the hobbyist describes each step in the creation of a rug, from dyeing and drying the wool to hooking and finishing the rug. The method used is primitive hooking, that is, working with strips of fabric 14 to 12 - wide. Frames, stands, and tools are discussed. Fourteen patterns (which must be enlarged) are included, and detailed instructions are complete for each rug. There is even an explanation of why rainwater is preferable to distilled water for dyeing. Sources of supplies are appended with the author's videos and patterns getting the first mention. Purchase where interest warrants.

I am not impressed with this rug hooking book and its contents. Was very dissappointed in the sale and condition of book. The pages were turning yellow.
