Can't beat it for the price,

This review is from: The Country Vet's Book of Home Remedies for Cats (Paperback)
This is a great little book that will easily fit in your purse or travel bag. There is a lot of information in the book regarding many "cat" issues. I liked that it also tells you when it is best to seek a vet's advice. I found it to be an easy, fairly quick read and I found a lot of good tips that I can use with my 5 year old cat and my 17 year old cat. For example, you can give your kitty a tiny bit of butter to help with hair balls, etc. I really have to say, check out the previews that they put up on the site here.

Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This review is from: The Country Vet's Book of Home Remedies for Cats (Paperback)
The book I purchased was in great condition, almost brand new.
It came in a very timely manner & both Amazon & the company I purchased it from sent emails letting me know when it was shipped & should arrive. Thank-you!

Some parts of the book extremely helpful- others dangerous,

This review is from: The Country Vet's Home Remedies for Cats (Paperback)
The section of the book listing common cat maladies and how owners should respond is excellent- the best I've seen and the reason I bought it. However, when I sat down to read it cover to cover I was pretty shocked. I'm only about 25% through and stopped to write his review to warn people that there are a few things that the auther says that are either plainly untrue or even dangerous. For example, she suggests that in order to prevent cats playing with electrical cords, it's a good idea to run them under rugs- which is the very FIRST thing you learn not to do when learning basic household electrical safety.
I still give this book three stars because the actual meat of it- the remedies- is excellent. Just take the rest of it (including the vague advice on food that basically instructs the reader to trust that big name brands are doing what's best for cats instead of what's good for business) with a grain of salt.
