Best Folk CD I've heard in Some time,
By Jeff S (Massachusetts) - See all my reviews
This review is from: County Line Road (Audio CD)
If you like "un-plugged" music, you will love this CD. Dave offers the best of what folk music has to offer, simple, fresh avenues to your heart, imagination and memory. The ballads are great, and the uptempo songs get you hitting that repeat/replay button. I've read a review that compares him to David Wilcox, I would only state that this is true of David Wilcox's earlier productions. The production is simple, but not too simple to leave you yearning for more. The music: melody, harmonies, and lyrics are well balanced and stand by themselves beautifully. The only thing you'll want more of will be more Dave Potts' CD's.

Smooth and Pleasant,
By Scott Reeves (Aliso Viejo, CA USA) - See all my reviews

I saw Dave...and he was great. He has a true passion for what he does. He may not be well known, but he is gifted with the guitar and he has a pleasant voice. Most of his songs are reflective in nature and it takes you back to earlier times in your life even if you aren't from the South or Alabama (and you'll especially like a few lines if you are an Auburn fan). "Do You" starts the cd off with a nice melody and the asking question of the title with regards to your past. The cd paces between up tempo and slow ballads and the changes between songs works nicely. It's not Limp Bizkit or Eminem andsometimes that's a good thing.
