More About the Author

L.L. Muir lives in the shadows of the Rocky Mountains and writes fiction between bowls of cereal.

She'd been a florist and writer all her life, but discovered time travel and Scottish romances the same month she first saw Phantom of the Opera. Suddenly feeling reincarnated, she began a new life as a romance writer a short month later, dropping just about everything but her family in order to pursue the new dream.

Before writing full-time, she owned a flower shop called The Scottish Rose. She'd often answer the phone sounding like Mrs. Doubtfire...until a gentleman customer asked to speak with the Scottish woman who owned the place. A little embarrassing, that.

You'll find a Scottish character in most of her books, but she also writes Western Romances under the name Bella Bowen.

This author has a way with memorable romantic scenes and great humour, and these qualities are evident in both of these stories. KISS THIS is a fairy-talesque contemporary story about a florist/wedding planner who discovers that Prince Charming is her client's brother, and there is a lot riding on this wedding for her professionally. I enjoyed the story and the heroine. My preference would have been to have more of the hero's POV, but I guess that Prince Charming needs to be a little mysterious...

CHRISTMAS KISS is a gentle introduction to the author's MUIR WITCH novels. It can be a great stand alone, or get the reluctant reader ready to tackle the time-travel/highlands/romance. It convinced me. A modern woman gets thrown back to early 19th century Scotland where she and the hero spend a lot of time dancing around their mutual attraction tempered by their belief that the other is crazy. There is a bit of what I would consider to be a fantasy element involved in this story. It was not overwhelming, and it fit in well. My only major issue was that I felt the ending was a little rushed and the resolution too quick and not well enough explained.

There is a very small bit of coarse language in each of these. Not much. The stories are both pretty much clean. I really enjoyed both stories and recommend them.

I love this author and her series of the Muir Witch families and Going Back For Romeo have me hooked! This novel group is about Mallory a florist/wedding planner and her spoiled brides brother, Bennett. Bennett has money but is a freak about keeping track of how it is spent and this trait has him second guesses all of Pemberly's, The Bride, choices.
Mallory is a detail oriented independent thinker and will delegate out to her team all she can, but she goes out of her mind with Bennett second guessing ever detail of the winter wedding at a remote location with a winter storm predicted for the date Pemberly has chosen for her big day.
Bennett lives in England and as much as he is attracted to Bennett he cannot move his business to Utah where Mallory's business is to pursue a relationship.
With all the stormy relationship and weather this is a really fun romp through a problematic day of planned celebration.
Just a fun and feisty winter night with a mysterious old man in a livery costume that makes the night one for Mallory and Bennett to work through all their objections to "why not?"

This collection consists of two separate stories. Each are very good on their own. These will be just as good the second or third time around.
