This review is from: The Couple's Journey: Intimacy As a Path to Wholeness (Paperback)
This book helps couple's make sense of why they aren't "getting enough" out of their relationship. Understanding that there are different stages and that the difficult times are a natural progression to a successful, long-term relationship allows people to hang in rather than jump ship. This book explains the journey and might keep some from just starting all over again and again and again--always ending up only half way to where they wanted to arrive.

5.0 out of 5 stars A handbook for higher consciousness with your partner, April 25, 2011
By

I discovered this book in the early 80's. It was a godsend in deciphering the rocky road to true intimacy. Twenty years later, it continues to illuminate for me the journey that is possible to couples who can navigate the stages and avoid the pitfalls along the way: 1. Romance 2. Power Struggle 3. Stability 4. Commitment 5. Co-Creation.

This practical guide and handbook provides concrete examples, guidelines, exercises, and questions for those dedicated to moving ever deeper with your partner.
