I liked the rhymes and the simple story. It's not about fighting the monster, but using the power of imagination to just make it go away!!
How cool is that

My kids liked the story, and they were happy to see how the boy and his teddy bear managed to cope with the fear by themselves (well, with a little help, that is)...

More About the Author

"Fight your fears and you'll be in battle forever. Face your fears and you'll be free forever."
(Lukas Jonkman)

Dear reader- Thanks for your interest in my book. It's a real privilege for me to be able to share it with you!

I'm Tal, i live in Israel and I'm a Special education teacher and a ThetaHealing™ practitioner. Through my daily encounters with children, I realized that night fear is a very common phenomenon, and that fear of monsters is a very common type of night fear.

I also learned that in order to help children with night fears, what you don't want to do is to dismiss them (i.e.: "it's nothing"), or try to rationalize them (i.e.: "monsters do not exist"). These methods don't help at all, as the child experiences the monster as real, and nothing you'll say right now can change that...

So... what can you do?
Well, in my experience, the best way to help children with their fear of monsters is just to "play along", which actually means to "see" the monster through their eyes, and then use some form of "magic" to deal with it.
When it comes to kids, magic is so much powerful than any rational idea- use it!

And if you're not quite sure as to what kind of magic you should use with your child, then open "The Courage Box", and you might find what you're looking for...
Wishing you to enjoy reading my book and to have peaceful nights :)
