Wow, what a great book, easy to read, and easy to understand. If you want to see whereAmerica and our post christian times are,you need to read this book.Philip Ryken does a wonderful job relating Jeremiah's life to what I am afraid evangelism will be facing in the future. I love the quote he put in this book from Francis Schaeffer made in the 1960's, "Jeremiah provides us with an extended study of an era like our own, where men have turned away from God and society has become post-Christian." Mr. Ryken provides the reader through the life struggles of Jeremiah and gives us insight as to how we are to live for Christ in a post-Christian culture. |
