We have now completed all three of Stacy Mitch's books in this series. Courageous Love, Courageous Virtue, and now Courageous Women. While we loved them all, this was hands down the favorite. With each story (eight in all) we were struck by how relevant the message of God's salvation is for us just as it was for these women of the Old and New Testament. They are filled with faith, virtue, they are sinners, they repent and yes they have great courage. God uses them all just as He uses us today to advance His plan of Salvation. An excellent format for group bible study and much discussion. We hope that there will be more from Stacy Mitch!

I have used this book with 2 Women's Bible Studies. I find it to be an excellent book for first timers in a Bible Study , as well as women who have read the Bible. The commentary and discussion questions make the stories applicable to a woman's life in 2008.

Our women's group used this book recently, breaking it up into a seven-week discussion class. It really excited the 20 participants as it was not dry or so "scholarly" that it intimidated them. We had many interesting discussions inspired by the questions at the end of each chapter. It was a great Catholic study focused on scripture and one of so few scripture studies devoted much to the Old Testament. Many of the women have asked that we use another of Mitch's books for a second study soon.

After purchasing a half dozen books for possible use with the "Grand-Mom's" group at our church, we selected this one. There are 9 in our group. While we have not completed the book yet, we are finding that it is a different way of looking at the bible with an emphasis on women that other studies do not do.

I use this for my Ladies Bible Study group. We all just love it. The best part is that we don't have to necessarily follow it from front to back. We each chose a woman or two so we could take turns on leading the group. The individual women in the book are short enough that even the less bold of our group are willing to try their hand at leading and have done excellant.

The one drawback is that I wish there were a few more "naughty" women in the book. A short page or two on Jezabel, Delilah...etc., would also have been nice to study.

Overall, a great Bible Study book to use. Not so "heavy" as to scare the newcomers away.

I am pleased with this product so far. I haven't made it through the entire book yet. I am also very pleased with how quickly it arrived and a great transaction.

We are currently using this book for a womens bible study. All of the women in our group are enjoying this book from the ones who have masters in theology to the ones who struggle with their faith. It has been educational for all of us, and starts great conversations!
