Best release to date,

I've been a Narnia fan since 1999 and I think this is their best record to date. I admit that I was originally drawn to Grimmark's Yngwie-esque shredding, but I'm glad he's developed his own style. It would be very difficult to pin the 'Yngwie Clone' label on him these days. CJ has developed into a world-class guitarist in his own right.
Although I like the album overall, the songs tend to sound a bit too much alike. However, that could be said about many metal acts and albums. I do wish there were a little more guitar solo work. Grimmark seems to have held back in that department for some reason. Maybe for the sake of the song as a whole? Overall, this is a worthy record and should be on any melodic/progressive metal fan's short list. Rock on!

Life after singer change?,

Narnia with a new singer? How will that sound? Well, I will say....AMAZING! This album sounds different in many respects from previous releases, and not just vocally. There is more grit and aggressiveness musically, complimenting the new vocalist, which while still melodic, is a bit more brash, metallic and powerful in nature. Changing lead singers can break a band's following, but Narnia has bounced back in a new and powerful way, sure to please all fans of melodic euro-metal. ([...])

Narnia is a great band. I have all their albuns and I like all of them. My surprise - when I thought that CD was ending, a new song started playing - bonus track. Very good CD.

NARNIA IS ALIVE AND WELL!,
This review is from: Course of a Generation (Audio CD)
Being a fan of Narnia, since their debut album from 1995, they have made strides from that CD to this one. The original singer is gone but German is in his place and sometimes sounds like Christian, and yet he has Dio and Bruce Dickison in his voice and this guy is an incredible talent for Carl-Johan, the guitarist and main writer in the band. I saw him play at ProgPower USA festival in Atlanta, and he was the guitarist in Rob Rock's band along with another guitarist. But let me say that he is quite a talented guitarist, also lent his services to Saviour Machine at their height. Grimark's sound on Narnia's latest CD is beyond good. I hope I am able to get such a great sound when I put out my own CD. This is great Christian Progressive Metal, at it's finest, with catchy tunes, blistering soloing, great singing, and sing-a-long choruses, which is remarkable. I don't know if the singer's influence has fused the band into a complete machine but this is the best Narnia CD ever! Go buy it! You will not be disappointed, and has many detuned guitars, and all the songs are great from the first to the last! I can't get enough of this, and I give this a 5 star, or 9.5 out of 10 scale. Yes, it's that good. I'm listening to it now. My favorite? Too many to chose but "Rain" is amazing, "Sail Around The World" and "Armageddon" are killer anthems! Great job Narnia! This is a masterpiece!
