I bought this devotional, not expecting much from it. WOW, was I wrong. This is arguably the best devotional I've read. Phil is very down to earth and practical, you can easily see yourself in his daily thoughts. If you love God and love golf, this is a great pick-up. Each day has a simple nuget that will challenge you over and over, each time you read it.

I didn't expect to encounter as much humor as I did when I picked up this book, but I should have expected it from this author. Funny thing is, the humor is a pleasant surprise and it makes the very serious truths of this book so much easier to swallow. It has 32 short devotional reading with enough spiritual depth in each one to give you ample to digest for the day. We bought several copies for friends who golf. We're already getting great comments from them.

It was a thoughtful gift that she purchased for me from Canada.
Phil is Canadian eh....and I thought Oh Boy more corney Canadian humor...! Well listen--not the case here.
Very uplifting stories and devotions. I thought the scriptures were perfect. Really spoke to me in the here and now. I appreciate the rounded humor and touching life stories Phil shared in this book. I am buying these as stocking stuffers for my brothers and Dad--all lovers of golf and God!

Like the author, I love golf, but I've found many devotional books hyper-spiritual, unrealistic, and dry as dust. Until now. This book is simply the best devotional going. It combines humorous anecdotes with Biblical truth and is written by a real guy in a way that makes me want to take advice. I've just bought 2 copies, one for my husband and one for my son.

There are eight of us who have been reading this together and it's been so much fun. The author shares 32 short stories of golf then draws a spiritual parallel that we can incorporate into our lives. The humor surprised me and hooked me on Callaway's writing. Though the book has plenty of serious applications, the comedy is a welcome addition and kept me reading. I've just ordered more from the author to give away to friends and he's told me he has another golf book coming out called Golfing With the Master. Great great stuff.

Better than a Callaway driver, this Callaway book is sure to make you laugh yourself silly one moment, then wipe back tears of joy the next. Having never read this best-selling author before, I was surprised by the humor and deeply touched by the spiritual message of these 32 devotionals. ... He even responded with a hilarious email. If I had three thumbs, this book would get three thumbs up!

This is a great devotional for a golfer. Callawy's wisdom and heart for the Lord is clearly evident. It will fit in you pocket or golf bag.

Reading this just helps me enjoy my golf game a little better :-) Makes my game fun again, because I am not in control.
